DCCC gets $17M line of credit (Desperation, anybody?)

The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee has taken out a $17 million line of credit for use of the final weeks of the campaign, signaling the party leadership’s commitment to having the money to counter an onslaught of millions of dollars in pro-Republican TV ads.

The new line of credit was disclosed in a DCCC report filed Thursday night with the Federal Election Commission.

They have $25M in the bank and still get a $17M line of credit? They must plan on having nothing but wall-to-wall commercials and infomercials for the last week of the campaign. Sounds like utter desperation to me.

Republicans need to do the same and put the money into anti-fraud and tracking programs. They will raise the money from the people after the elections to pay it back if they do it right and say why they are doing it.

I spent the past couple of weeks doing some IT work in a major bank’s collection call center. There were a few hundred people up there. It would be fun to turn that many people loose on whoever signed for the line of credit when they don’t bother to pay anything back.

I have been receiving in the mail a glossy, legal-paper sized, card stock weight campaign ad every day for a week telling me what a communist the democrat’s challenger is.

Every single ad has been mailed by the DCCC. If they are sending this type of mailing to masses, they are shelling out the dough to do it.

I guess they think the one who shouts loudest and longest wins. Being the mother of three, I have learned how to tune out those kinds of childish rants.
