ARTICLE IV; Section 4: Republican Government
Posted on 10/22/2010 10:02:54 AM PDT by pgyanke
The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them against Invasion; and on Application of the Legislature, or of the Executive (when the Legislature cannot be convened) against domestic Violence.
-- Article IV, Section 4, U.S. Constitution
Something I have been mulling for a few days but finally put to words. So many are pinning their hopes on repealing Obamacare or at least defunding it... What about nullifying it?
Have we all forgotten how it was passed? "Deem it passed" and "We have to pass it to know what's in it" were the battle cries of the previous Congress. This is not the functioning of a republican government.
The first act of the new Congress should be to invalidate any laws passed without the review of the people's representatives.
TOPICS: Constitution/Conservatism; Culture/Society; Government; Politics/Elections
KEYWORDS: constitution; representative; republican
My two cents.

“We have to pass it to know what’s in it”
If the people don’t rid congress of the fools who voted for it will see the end law as we know it under Obama&Co. they have proved they are going to change this country into a third world nation.

Of course it doesn’t work... it’s a vanity post. The posting system wouldn’t let me post without a website...
