In what is being described as the largest release of secret U.S. military documents ever, the whistle-blowing web site WikiLeaks has released a trove of classified reports about the war in Iraq, including a secret U.S. government tally that puts the Iraqi death toll between 109,000 and 285,000, according to news sources that received advanced copies of the documents.

That was the Lancet Survey, but there are always going to be casualties in war in countries...it is an unavoidable part of the conflict. The problem is there isn’t any context.

When will people in the media ask why Prine AL Waleed, the Saudi King’s nephew, is a major shareholder in Disney/ABC News, TW/CNN, News Corp/Fox News - multibillion deals with GE/CNBC/MSNBC/NBC, helped Viacom/CBS in a variety of international TV deals and helped Bloomberg get access to Islamic markets?
In other words - all 6 TV networks that own all the Tv channels have MAJOR Saudi influence. Nice how ABC News/Disney will portray American troops as “baby killers” for their Saudi overlords.

The Counter Intelligence Corps...yeah...but this happens to be the work of a disgruntled homosexual, Bradley Manning, who hated DADT...they reported he was considering a sex change...he’s clearly guilty of treason.
Violation of an armistice agreement is grounds for restarting the war. We didn't start a war later without provocation — we simply took up fighting where we had left off to stop a tyrant.
Saddam violated that armistice just 24-hours after signing it. Over more than a decade, he shot at our aircraft, he murdered and persecuted his own people, and he pursued the acquisition of WMD (which is now in the possession of Syria).
The horrifying part of all this - Bill Clinton was too much of a weenie to decisively move against Saddam for violating the armistice and stop the madness in Iraq. It was left to GWB.
If this were truly a national security issue, why didn’t the Pentagon just shut down WikiLeaks?
Amd most of the Iraqi civilians were killed by AQ and Sadam loyalists.
I dislike the media as much as anyone, but this is not just an ABC thing. Someone should have removed WikiLeaks “with prejudice” a long time ago.

There is a national security implication...like the wikileaks regarding Afghanistan...they give the names of people that have collaborated with the U.S. and helped our forces...I’ll get you an answer as to why they aren’t shutting them down...for one they aren’t located in the U.S....I think it is out of Britain, but I’m unclear as to ‘why’ exactly...
I agree. Something is wrong here though. If it were really a security issue it would not have been allowed to be leaked. Instead, advance notice was given that these leaks would happen.
It really pisses me off...this is why we need to scrap DADT and go back to the DoD directive banning them from the military...or more like during WWII when homosexuality was a mental illiness...the guy is a flaming queer and that’s his sick life....he has no business in our military and damn right, let the frontline soldiers give this guy a blanket party...for starters...or let him go over to the enemy and see how the Jihadists and see how he likes it. I’d like a shot at this guy myself!
