$5-$10-$15 a month. May I suggest that any local newspaper can never compete with FR. Which would you rather spend your money on.
Bandwidth and Colocation $2,430
Hmm. You can get a LOT of bandwidth and colocation for that amount of money nowadays. I could buy the argument that it needs to be hosted at a certain company however, if that company stood up for its customers against frivolous AUP complaints from certain perpetual grievance groups. On the other hand if you go with the lowest price on the market, they may take your site down the instant some lib gets his panties in a wad (nanoseconds).
Yeah, pretty sure JR is not getting your deal.
As the owner of an ISP I would guess he is paying $10,000 just to keep the lights on.
We are a huge draw on bandwidth with the constant requests back to his server.
I have not bothered to sample his site but that is my estimate.

Transfer of data = $$$$
Costs mucho dinero.
JR ain’t getting rich off this but he is making a good living.
Additionally he spends a considerable amount of loot in support of our causes, so those need to be taken into consideration.
