Feds probing Perdue's '08 run
BY MICHAEL BIESECKER - staff writer
RALEIGH -- The campaign of Gov. Bev Perdue is the subject of a federal criminal investigation.
Perdue released a written statement Friday shortly after The News & Observer reported that federal grand jury subpoenas had been issued to people connected to her 2008 run for the state's highest elected office.
"I have just learned that there is a federal investigation into my campaign for governor," Perdue said, according to the statement.
"As a citizen, a candidate for public office, and an elected official of this state, I have tried my best to abide by all applicable laws, and my administration has been one of the most open in history. I am proud of my record..."

Rumors have swirled in the capital for more than a year about a federal corruption investigation of Perdue's immediate predecessor, Gov. Mike Easley. Perdue has repeatedly tried to distance herself from Easley's troubles.
A spokeswoman for U.S. Attorney George Holding said Friday that she could not confirm or deny that any subpoenas had been issued for people tied to Perdue.

Under the Hammer

The corruption by the Democrats in Raleigh continues unabated.
You may have read that the campaign of Gov. Bev Perdue is under investigation by the State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) for flights Perdue took while campaigning but she didn't pay for.
The Carolina Journal is reporting that the attorney who was Perdue's campaign compliance director and custodian of the financial records when those flights took place has not been contacted by the investigators for the State Board of Elections or the SBI.
So the state agencies are charged with investigating why flights do not show up on the books, yet they haven't contacted the attorney who was the official custodian of the books and in charge of making certain that the campaign was in compliance with all campaign finance laws. Does that sound like yet another cover-up? It's so much easier to investigate things when you have already been ordered not to find anything in your investigation.
It's a tragedy what the Democrats have done to state government in North Carolina. They simply ignore the laws and then, when they are told to investigate themselves, they can't seem to find that there is any wrongdoing.

IMPEACH the chicken lady
She rode the Obama wave into the Governor’s house. I knew from the beginning, being an NC resident, that this bitch was bad news.
*ping*
Bev = Blanco
Bingo.
An underling or two may get prison time. Perdue will pay any fine with her campaign war chest .
Life goes on.
Nothing good ever comes out of Raleigh.....
“She rode the Obama wave into the Governors house. I knew from the beginning, being an NC resident, that this bitch was bad news.”
Ironically, the newspapers also knew Tax-Rev Bev was bad news.
Another interesting thing about the chicken lady, Purdue is the last name of her first husband. She uses her current husband’s last name as a middle name.
How phony can one be?
Here’s an update...Governor Beverly Perdue is from Craven County, North Carolina...Maybe not coincidentally, there is a voting irregularity in that County... During the Federal bailouts to the states in 2009, Governor Perdue is rumored to have funneled millions of taxpayer dollars to her home town cronies in New Bern. I wonder if some of that money was used to purchase some rigged voting machines?
