Former President Bill Clinton praised Lansing Mayor Virg Bernero as a top urban leader during a Sunday campaign appearance in Detroit, but his speech to mostly committed Democrats seemed unlikely to make a difference in a race where independents appear to favor Bernero’s opponent.
Bernero, mayor of Lansing the past five years, has been trailing Republican businessman Rick Snyder among independents and Republican voters in polls leading up to the Nov. 2 election.
Clinton told about 500 people at Detroit’s Renaissance High School that Bernero was the only candidate with an economic plan to turn around Michigan’s battered economy, and he mocked Snyder’s platform as empty “mom and apple pie” rhetoric.

He is coming to Youngstown OH this week too. This is a Dem stronghold. No reason to send him when Biden and Obama were just here plus the Obamas are in Cleveland. They are scared Ohio is going red.

Why would they “waste” Clinton on a race like this..where the Dem has NO, ZERO, NADA, ZILCH, chance. It makes NO sense...there are many races aroudn the country, which are much closer, tighter, where Clinton might help..but this one..I don’t get it..

That’s funny because I almost wrote something like that! He looks like he’s lived a hard life. In reality he has lived an easy life but lives it in ‘hard’ ways - for lack of other words....

And keep in mind, he has undoubtedly had quite a number of nip and tuck surgeries to make him look younger. Imagine what he would look like without all of the cosmetic surgery.
I’m the same age of this guy, and I can tell you that if he really changed his diet to go vegan, he’s nuts. By the time you are 64, your body has certain nutritional expectations that must be met. And, it is dangerous to trifle with that.
And by the way, I look at least ten ears younger than that guy. Admittedly, that is in part because of Youthair Creme. And because I’m not stuck with Hillary.
I saw him a few days ago in Tampa, whene he was here campaigning with Meek..haven’t seen him up close in three years, since I moved here from Chappaqua..surprised to see how “old” “tired” he looks..95% of men his age who have a bypass, we’ll it’s like they discovered the fountain of youth..for Slick, I suspect there’s a lot of hard partying going on..old habits die very hard..
He’s always had a good head of hair, it’s his face that is red as a rose and a nose that’s too large and getting larger.
You almost have to feel sorry for him.......almost....
