I heard this on the radio on the way to work this morning. I was blown away. I might actually vote for the guy, even if he is a Democrat.

Can’t blame you. Lincoln Chaffee is no prize. What about the other Repubs running. Are they that far off the radar?

Caprio said Obama ignored the state after devastating flooding in March.

As he did with the Tennessee floods. Obama hates white people.

Obummer endorsement is actually a kiss of political demise. The RI democrat running should simply state Obummer you are not welcome in RI and where is the birth certificate and college records. Until you produce these records stay out of RI

Robatallie is a boring, bureaucrat-looking guy, and he just isn't going to win.

If Caprio has this anti-Obama mindset, it is going to ensure his victory. You couldn't pay me to vote for Chaffee. Now there's a smarmy bastard.

If Obama had the bubonic plague or small pox he'd wouldn't be any more unwelcome at Democrat campaign events than he is right now. Bet they wish he'd gone on his trip to India before the election.

He’s really campaigning for cash for his own re-election in ‘12.

He has little or no use for the rank and file dems.

Unfortunately, I think there is truth in this statement.

unwelcome at Democrat campaign events

Already he has to have unions pay their people to attend or give out free beer (like he did in Germany during the campaign) to get a big crowd.

The thrill is gone, and that just thrills me!

Sounds like Caprio thought Bammie would endorse a fellow rat as a matter of principle.

Trouble is... rats have no principles.

So when the endorsement didn’t show... Caprio has a pity party.

I’m loving it.

I think you’re reading this wrong. I think he’s mad at Obama for NOT endorsing him. He had planned to campaign with Obama and “Frank Caprio’s campaign last week said he would welcome Obama’s endorsement.”

Obviously, the ability to continue feeding at the public trough is way more important to some demrats than The One or his Marxist ideology.

Yep, just look at all the bribes for votes, and even easier when there is a ‘D’ involved. Vote with your local TEA Party, it’s better to make a stand for the Constitution, smaller Government, and less taxes.

Robatallie (sic) is a boring, bureaucrat-looking guy, and he just isn't going to win.

Take a look at Robitaille's Web site: http://robitailleforgovernor.com/. Looks pretty conservative to me. Given the choice I would choose him.

He passes muster with my 92-yo life-long Democrat mother, who lives in RI and says she's voting for him.

Indeed. He's coming to CT on Oct 30 to endorse the Pelosi puppet Jim Himes.

Hopefully, this will work wonders for Himes as it did for Martha Coakley in MA.

Yeah, but being the good little apparatchniks they are, they’ll all queue up and support/vote for whatever horsesh*t the Chosen One sends their way.

Bluster means nothing. So-called “Blue Dog dems” showed us that.

According to the polls, the race is between Chaffee and Caprio. Chaffee(I) is running on INCREASING taxes (on everything) by 1 percent. That is his actual plan, believe it or not. Caprio (D)is running on cutting taxes and making sure not one tax goes up. It's like bizzaro world, where everything is backwards.

This is RI, and we conservatives here sometimes have to make our vote count by picking the best of the worst, or by strategically voting against a disastrous front runner.

Robitallie (R) isnt going to win, so it is a wasted vote. And I am not convinced of his conservatism, either. So I would mainly be voting against Chaffee and for someone who at least claims he won't raise taxes. I really have no other choice (other than to move to a conservative state.)

I think Chaffee is the real democrat in the race, and Obama knows that. That's why he said he wasn't endorsing anyone. By doing that, he effectively endorses Chaffee. Bastard.

If they didn't want to be associated with Obamacare all they had to do was vote against it. What's the worst that can happen to 'rat congressman? He won't get reelected and be reduced to taking a million dollar lobbying job? Poor baby. Any claim to being "moderate" or a "conservative democrat" or "pro gun democrat" or "a catholic democrat" is 100% bull when push comes to shove.

The political landscape has certainly gotten much simpler in the last few years. All the Democrats: Bad. Wish I could say "All Republicans: Good" but....not so much. At least were finally getting a few sane people elected.

RI is a very difficult state to poll. That said, the last one I saw had Caprio (D) and Robitaille (R) at 28. Chafee at 27.

Robitaille is actually pretty solid on the issues. Hopefully, he wins and gets enough allies to sustain a veto.

Robitaille was tied for the lead in one poll and within single digits in another. Not a lost cause.

Caprio is better than Chafee but I think he’s lying when he calls himself a tax cutter.

Robitaille can’t win only if people like you don’t vote for him.
The “he can’t win” line is used by Leftists to trick Conservatives into not voting for the better candidate.
It’s time to stop helping the Leftists succeed.
With the exception of the Colorado Governor race, everyone needs to just vote for the (R) in every race this election. We cannot afford not to.

Thanks Semper911. Candidate Frank Caprio — perhaps best known for the Christmas classic “It’s a Wonderful Life” — said this as a way of getting some publicity and to tap into the rising tide of anti-Obama sentiment. Chafee is running as an independent, but he was a true RINO anyway. The Pubbie is John Robitaille.
