EL PASO -- The Socorro Independent School District has taken action. According to SISD officials, the district held an executive committee meeting to discuss the violations under former Head Coach Ron Vicencio.

Vicencio appeared in court in August for a plea deal. He was head coach of the El Dorado Boys Basketball program, and the committee found that he recruited four of those players from various parts of Mexico.

The committee found the players in violation of two UIL rules - in violation of moving for athletic purposes and recruiting from Mexico.

For that, all four players received three year suspensions from UIL activities.

The committee has stripped El Dorado of five district victories, moving their final district record from 12-4 to 7-9. Also, the committee added a three-year UIL suspension for four Aztec players

Only the tip of the iceberg in the hometown of our famed Chairman of the Congressional Intelligence Committee, Sylvestre Reyes. I don't know if these kids were somehow made legal but Federal dollars have been paying for the education of illegals for decades. All you have to do is show a utility bill to go to school. Socorro Independent School District has the highest taxes in the city.

Under the DREAM Act, the kids he illegally recruited would be eligible for American citizenship and could sponsor in all of their relatives.

Our local high school just spent $1 million on new turf and bleachers for the football field. At least they made the football team itself raise $500,000 for the field. Our district gets about 30% of its budget from the State, which by the way, is running a $9 billion deficit this year (NY).

That’s a lot of money to be used by only 25 kids and their friends and family.

"Perry is as bas as McCain."

Just wondering...are there lots of noxious gasses spewing from the volcanoes of Iceland?
