PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Democratic candidate for Rhode Island governor is telling President Barack Obama to "shove it" after learning Obama would not endorse him.
Frank Caprio's campaign last week said he would welcome Obama's endorsement.
But on Monday, the same day Obama is set to visit Rhode Island and a day after the White House said Obama would not endorse anyone, Caprio told WPRO-AM that Obama can "take his endorsement and shove it."...
He can shove it on any day he chooses. He can even shove marx w/him.
Don’t you just love it when LIBERALS act out and show how IMMATURE they are?
The problem with Demoncrats is they NEVER GREW UP and act think like LITTLE TODDLERS.
Seems a bit contrived. Oh, look at how Caprio stood up to the unpopular White House. I wonder whether this was planned.
..... with oodles of room to spare.
Makes you wonder what kind of Republican is running against him when Obama can’t decide between them.
“Makes you wonder what kind of Republican is running against him when Obama cant decide between them.”
Lincoln Chafee...except he’s not a republican anymore; but even when he was a republican he wasn’t. The people of RI are so screwed.
It’s pretty bad that I’m from MA where we’re perpetually screwed and I think that they’re worse off than we are!
Good point, not that I would vote for a Dumbocrat.
Nice try Caprio - NOT!
Hey 0h0m0, shove it...you’ll like it!
It ain’t Alka Seltzer.
They will blame President Obama for what went wrong in 2010 and they will blame him again in 2012.They bought this upon themselves by acting as if they could do whatever they wanted and ruining this country.
Are you a fellow RI’er? I live in RI and also in the city where the factory Obama visited during his visit here is located. Caprio’s “shove it” statement seems contrived to me too.
The news said that Obama passed on making the endorsement for the Democrat out of respect for Chaffee. That can encourage all of the possible Democrat and Democrat leaning Independent Chaffee voters.
Caprio’s “shove it” statement could gain him favor because he’s portraying himself as person who will stand up against the excesses of his party and a fairly unpopular President in favor of more conservative positions, which seems to be how he’s playing it. If he truly disagrees with the Democrats, why does he continue to stay in and be a loyal member of their party? Just doesn’t add up.
In either situation, a Caprio or Chaffe electoral victory; Obama and the Democrats win. So it does seem very contrived in favor of the Democrats.
Except last week Caprio's campaign WANTED Ubanga's endorsement.
So, Rhode Island is deciding between Caprio and Lincoln Chafee? Wow. That place is one hopeless toilet. Whew..
The way I understand it from listening to the news,Caprio and Chaffee are the front runners, although the very decent and no-nonsense Republican Robitaille is starting to get neck and neck with Caprio now.
Yes,very flip-floppy attitude shown by Treasurer Caprio.
I don’t know if it is hopeless here,I won’t give up,there are some signs that things might be turning around, although in small steps. An example is that Caprio feels he must portray himself as at least somewhat in favor of small businesses and fiscal restraint. I believe he is still the typical NorthEastern Democrat at heart though. That’s just my opinion.
By the way, this is a lovely state with wonderful, hardworking people, not a “toilet”. So many people here worked in harsh factory conditions for extremely low pay, including me,my husband and my now very elderly in-laws,that the idea of the Democrats being for the “little guy” is deeply ingrained, because they did seem recognize that working class people had a very difficult time.
Now it seems the Democrats have gone way overboard but people still vote for them. Maybe because they are on welfare,or members of the very strong unions or they are on social security. Well,I’m sure you know all this.
Sorry about my vernacular. When I call someplace a “toilet” here, I mean a political toilet. I’m sure Rhode Island is a beautiful place that just happens to be populated by ignoramuses.
