Harry Reid stealing the election in Nevada
Sharron Angle Campaign ^ | 10/25/10 | Mitchell

Posted on 10/25/2010 1:12:40 PM PDT by pabianice

I have some very grave news for you. We are leading Harry Reid in the polls and meeting our early vote goals--and yet, Sharron Angle could still lose.

As Sharron Angle's campaign attorney, I am sorry to report that the Democrats and their cronies are up to their same old tricks, of trying to manipulate the election in hopes of skewing the results in their favor.

Two days ago, the Democratic Secretary of State announced that voters can be provided "free food" at "voter turnout events." Harry Reid has been offering free food and, according to other reports, some Democratic allies such as teachers' unions are offering gift cards in return for a vote for Reid.

Before we were even able to document the reported infractions to report to the authorities, the Democrat Secretary of State slammed the door shut on preventing this behavior and issued a public statement permitting these ACORN-style tactics. THESE are the kinds of shenanigans that can turn this race... Harry Reid intends to steal this election if he can't win it outright. As a result, we need to deploy literally dozens of election law attorneys and poll watchers to combat these tactics ...

Understand, EVERYTHING we have worked for in the last year could be destroyed by dirty tricks and criminal acts in the next 8 days. As Sharron's first line of defense on these matters I am absolutely committed to making sure this won't happen...

What Harry Reid is doing is clearly illegal. Nevada law (NRS 293.700) provides that, “A person who bribes, offers to bribe, or use and other corrupt means, directly or indirectly, to influence any elector in giving his or her vote or to deter the elector from giving it is guilty of a category D felony and shall be punished as provided in NRS 193.130.”

We've seen evidence of this sort of voter 'enticement' by groups such as ACORN - where, in 2008, two ACORN workers in Milwaukee were accused of offering pre-paid gasoline cards or restaurant gift cards to people in exchange for registration.

John Fund wrote in his book Stealing Elections: How Voter Fraud Threatens Our Democracy, cited reports from the Sioux Falls Argus-Leader (South Dakota) and the election in 2004, where certain residents were quoted saying that "people on the streets were saying you go vote, they would give you gas money, $10, maybe a pack of cigarettes..."

Now, this week in Las Vegas, at our election hotline, we received reports that some teachers' union representatives were offering Starbucks cards to people to get them to vote for Harry Reid. It is even more disturbing and may be possible that they are using their influence and authority as educators to entice students on behalf of Reid.

Here’s the bottom line: when the powerful are threatened, they will do anything to retain their position. It's clear now that Harry Reid's campaign is even willing to skirt the laws of Nevada to do it.

Is there any question that they will do the same on Election Day?

The right to vote is a precious one - and it carries with it somber responsibilities. The Democrats' willingness to allow voters to be enticed with a promise of any thing of value is a debasement of the process- and it may just destroy everything we've worked for...

Sincerely,

Cleta Mitchell

Counsel to Friends of Sharron Angle Republican Nominee for U.S. Senate, Nevada

P.S. I've been in this business a long time. I have never before been so convinced that a candidate would reach so low in order to be victorious. Let's do this for Sharron and all her hard work.

Some Democrats and some pollsters have been predicting big Democrat wins, trying to inoculte against the outrage of massive voter fraud. They’re recruiting illegals to vote in Washington state as well.

Illegal but typical vote buying scumbag Dem move.

Hope it gets a lot of press there and results in backlash.

That’s clearly “something of value” to entice a vote.

The correct response to this is for Freepers and conservatives of all flavors go vote a straight Republican ticket and then attempt to eat everything on the table. Run them out of gift cards.

Make them spend big money.

The democrat party is a criminal enterprise. When the secretary of state or other high official is a democrat in a state, you cannot expect the law to be followed if breaking it will enable the democrat criminal enterprise to continue in power. If Harry gets re-elected, perhaps he will have a heart attack and not live long enough to come back to the Senate, but don’t count on it because evil thrives where criminals run the state.

Two can play the Cloward-Piven game. All Republicans ought to take whatever bribes are being handed out, and then go vote for Angle.

Angle's campaign office seemed surprised by this email alert. Staffer was going to confirm, as mine was not the first call he'd received asking about this.

If true, Hannity and Levin need to call this out.

Google "free food rides to vote". Amazing.

As a thought, why don’t Freepers log onto the various lib sites, posing a libbers, and complain about how disappointed you are in the democrats inability to pass things like comprehensive immigration reform, cap and trade, even longer jobless benefits, more stimulus, etc. Say the you are unemployed and someone just has to help, you are running out of benefits, You don’t know what you are going to do, you just cannot continue to support the Dems because they have not done enough. Maybe you just won’t vote this time.

las vegas was a hotbed of fraud in 2008. someone should have been ready for this.

That's not the only hotbed, not by a mile:

Las Vegas (Reid), Milwaukee/Madison (Feingold), Philly & Pittsburgh (Sestak), Chicago (Giannoulis), Seattle (Murray), Denver/Boulder (Bennett)..... anyone see a pattern here? Like, that every close race where the GOP could pick up a Senate seat is going to come down to fraud, and if so we are going to lose every single one of them? Damn right somebody should have seen this coming.

West Virginia has no major cities along the lines of Las Vegas, but that state has been controlled for SO long by labor union thugs that Manchin probably isn't quite working on his concession speech yet, even though Raese is supposedly up by about 5 points - nowhere near enough.

At least the margins of Republican Senate victories in Lousiana (New Orleans), Florida (Palm Beach/Broward and more) and Ohio (Cleveland/Columbus) put them outside the range of vote fraud - at least I hope so.

1) This is a lawyer talking. By definition she's putting the best face on her client's story. She is certainly not telling us the whole truth.

2) If the Democrats can have "voter turnout events" where they offer food, what's preventing Angle's team from doing the same?

3) The lawyer claims, without attribution naturally, "according to other reports, some Democratic allies such as teachers' unions are offering gift cards in return for a vote for Reid." Well, Cleta .... I'm pretty sure that is against the law. If you've got actual evidence to support the claims, you need to report it.

4) This is a rather ham-handed pre-emptive strike ... of course it's partly meant as a GOTV threat; but maybe Angle's internal polls are beginning to show weakness....

Oh heck, this practically describes the entire Democratic Party platform. 'Vote for me and I'll take money from other people and give it to you.'

If this is close, with Sharron leading long after the polls close, and it goes to Reid; Carson City is going to have problems.

Democrats and Liberal RINOs cheat in elections...nothing new. Strong support usually prevents winning candidates from losing cheated elections.

Harry Reid needs to be removed from office.

‘Must’ only works when the courts and state authorities are abiding by the law. Democrats don’t abide by the law unless it allows them to do as they damn well please. A criminal enterprise is in charge of America and has no intention of allow We The People to take it away from them, unless it serves their longer range purposes, like having Republicans to blame for the final abortion of the Republic. Democrats do not intend for the Republic to last much longer, one way or the other. ... And still no one is building the needed guillotines.

“Forever, O Lord, thy Word is firmly fixed in the Heavens.” Psalm 119:89

PSALM 37

12 The wicked plot against the righteous
and gnash their teeth at them;
13 but the Lord laughs at the wicked,
for he knows their day is coming.
14 The wicked draw the sword
and bend the bow
to bring down the poor and needy,
to slay those whose ways are upright.
15 But their swords will pierce their own hearts,
and their bows will be broken.
16 Better the little that the righteous have
than the wealth of many wicked;
17 for the power of the wicked will be broken,
but the LORD upholds the righteous.

I just spent four days in Las Vegas, meeting with the rank-and-file employees of one of the big casino companies. After speaking with hundreds of people, I can’t think of one who said anything positive about Harry Reid, Obama or the Dhimmicrats.

Everyone made comments like, “As soon as the Republicans take back Congress [things will improve],” or, “Things won’t get better until Obama is gone.” The economic situation in Nevada is grim, and it’s clear that the people there know that the Demos are to blame.
