Shehadeh originally told investigators that the purpose of his trip was to visit an Islamic university and attend a friend's engagement party. Swedish.
So, basically, when the Taliban claims a Hellfire missile hit a “wedding party” we now know what that means ... a bunch of people just like this fine gentleman. We had our suspicions, to be sure, but thanks, sir, now we know for sure.

SNIPPET: “According to the complaint, Shehadeh, a US citizen, lived on Staten Island, New York, in early 2008 when he devised a plan to travel to Pakistan to join the Taliban or a similar fighting group.”

Shehadeh claimed he wanted to enlist for career opportunities and benefits, but the complaint alleged his true motive was to deploy to Iraq, where he intended to desert and fight against the US military alongside Iraqi insurgent forces.”
