NEW YORK (Adweek) – With double-digit ratings growth this season, Spanish-language broadcaster Univision is off to a better start than any of the major English-language networks, and the future is promising as well.
The new census is expected to show a nearly 45% increase in the number of Hispanic Americans since 2000, to a total of 50 million. This couples with continuing audience erosion at the major networks and Univision's recent deal with Mexican programer Grupo Televisa, which locks up the source of much the network's popular programing for at least another decade.

This what I don’t understand why Univision don’t carry on capiton 2 or 3 in English subtiles they surely get the ratings sometime Univisoin has better soap than Telumundo

Will we become a bi-lingual country or simply transform into a latin one.That’s what happens when you don’t have an official language. These foreign language networks perpetuate non-assimilation and promote the colonization of foreign cultures. It is a combination both of the modern technologies and the fact that travel has become cheaper and distances are much closer time wise than in the day of steamer ships.
The English speaking soft porn fan portion of their audience is going to be very low. This proves all that "poor Illegals leaving because of SB1070" is BS.

I don’t think anybody actually watches Univision with the sound on. They seem to think their mission is to employ every woman with D cups in Mexico. They have randomly placed wiggling women in plunging necklines all the time. This is probably the real key to the channel’s success, if you’re sitting in front of the TV one day thinking “I haven’t seen much cleavage lately” find Univision on your dial, probably half their audience can’t speak enough Spanish to handle a Mexican restaurant.
I’d enjoy watching her even if I didn’t understand a word she was saying!
