The SEIU voting machines, Harry Reid, And Voting Problems
NetRight Daily ^ | October 26th, 2010 | Adam Bitely

Posted on 10/27/2010 1:25:42 AM PDT by GreatJoeMcCarthy

Did you know that the SEIU represents the voting machine technicians in Clark County (Las Vegas), Nevada? Is it any surprise, as we noted earlier today, that there was a voting glitch in Clark County, Nevada? The glitch caused Harry Reid’s name to be automatically checked on the ballot before voters had indicated who were they were supporting.

According to Joyce Ferrara who was an eyewitness to this strange ballot ordeal, the problem was widespread, “One person that’s a fluke. Two, that’s strange. But several within a five minute period of time — that’s wrong.”

It is particularly troubling that Clark County has put the uber left-wing SEIU Local 1107 in charge of their voting machines.

The agreement between the SEIU and Clark County specifically puts all voting machines under the control of the SEIU. See the collective bargaining agreement:

The County hereby recognizes the Union as the sole and exclusive collective bargaining representative of the County employees assigned to the classifications listed in Appendix A who are eligible to be represented by the Union except as limited by Section 2 of this Article. The Union shall be notified of additions to the list of classifications (Appendix A), within seven (7) days of posting for the position classification and shall receive 30 days advance notice of any deletions. Upon written request by the Union, the parties shall meet and confer regarding deletions within the 30 day notification period referenced herein. Both parties recognize that the Union retains its right to appeal under the provisions of NRS 288.170.

On page 75 of the agreement, in Appendix A, Voting Machine Technician is listed as a classified position that the SEIU represents. Even though the CBA expired on June 30, 2010, the CBA continues until this day because of language in Article 43 which says that the County and SEIU can continue the CBA year to year until one party deems it unfit.

What a coincidence that the voting machines in Clark County just happen to be automatically set to support the candidate that the union that represents the “voting machine technicians” supports… You vote, we decide.

UPDATE: The President of Americans for Limited Government (the parent organization of this website), Bill Wilson, has issued a statement on this important matter developing in Nevada:

“It is positively outrageous that in Clark County, Nevada, the SEIU Local 1107, which supports Harry Reid, controls the ballot boxes by contract through their representation of the voting machine technicians. It is not surprising that Senator Harry Reid’s name was automatically checked off on the ballot when individuals went to vote.

“The U.S. Attorney’s Office, the Nevada State Attorney General, and the U.S Marshalls need to act now to ensure that the SEIU does not continue to compromise the integrity of ballots in Nevada, and anywhere else in the country. The democratic process is too precious to be tampered with and abused.”

Ya think maybe the lame-stream media is going to shed some light on this and, you know like maybe, oh I don't know, do an exposé on SEIU and Clark County administrators and reveal how voter fraud has become commonplace for the radical left? Well of course they will, right after they finish their investigative report into the Marxist ideologues that have taken over NPR.

Who will be voting early and often? SEIU, blacks, Mexican illegals and the dead?

Where Zer0 and his DoJ will take the nation as it relates to selective enforcement of laws for political purposes is troublesome at best.

Nothing says anarchy quite like a ruling elite that decides on its whim whether to prosecute the laws as written. And then, only to protect some of the people that it favors.

Stay alert watch your back, and say a prayer for America.

Power has been abused and exploited by Democrats. The foreign occupier is a menace to our nation and damn near everyone living here.

Hiring and firing occures at the polling places. Forget the polls, forget the media spin. Go to the ballot box and put an end to the Dem Party on November 2, 2010.

The Rats are shovel-ready for the dust bin of history.

With the voting machines we use at my precinct, there's no way of recounting the votes. Your vote is recorded on a card (like a credit card) that is ran through the vote counter. The cards are used over and over. If the machine counting the votes is found to be faulty, there is no way to recount the votes. I could not believe this when someone working at the polling place told me. I also could not believe he saw no problem with it.

The “butterfly ballot” fiasco in 2000 was part of an ongoing effort to take down the entire system of democratic government in this country. The left has known for years that their agenda isn’t wanted by traditional American voters. By vote/voter fraud, they hope to sew chaos and de-legitimize the entire system. Electronic voting is a big part of that.

There are things that are better left simple. Keep It Simple Stupid. Systems that have to be depended on to work properly at the moment of truth are better left simple. This is something any decent engineer knows. Putting millions of transistors, multiple data transfer operations, network connections, and storage devices between the voters hand and the final tally is an invitation for widespread fraud. But, of course, that’s the idea.

Catherine Cortez Masto is the current Nevada Attorney General. She was elected to replace George Chanos. She is a Democrat.

Eric Holder is the US Attorney General. He is a Democrat.

Ross Miller is the Nevada Secretary of State. He is a Democrat.

Is the only recourse the courts and injunctions? If so, they need to file yesterday.

Here in Duval County, Florida, we use the paper ballots where you color in an oval for your choice. Once complete, it is scanned into a machine which is then transferred to the SOE’s office and then tallied. The paper ballots are also sent along with the machine and archived in the event of a recount being needed.

We also used the butterfly ballots before this method and I beleive this new one is among the most secure of the new systems put into place before the 2000 orchestrated fiasco. The main point is that each ballot is numbered and when voting, your voter ID is cross referenced with the numbered ballot.

Are there possibilities for fraud in this system? Yes, as with any system but at least an original of your ballot is kept in the event it is needed.

If there’s a paper trail, great. If the paper ballots are archived, great. Makes me feel better.

You have to fill in a paper ballot where I vote too, in upstate New York. It gets scanned by a machine. I don’t know if they keep them or not.

Interesting to see what happens in Houston after a warehouse containing all the voting machines burned to the ground.

"The democratic process is too precious to be tampered with and abused."

Apparently not. The SEIU and DNC. Sowing the seeds of civil war, one corrupted voting machine and court decision at a time.

The Democrats need to know that their time for cheating is over. We should see that they are prosecuted.

Yes. The US Attorney there is also. He is a guy that was fired by Bush and rehired by Obama. I have seen Republicans stand up for what is right on ethical grounds (eg. impeachment of Nixon) but I can’t think of a single instance of a Democrat placing ethics above politics when the stakes are high.
