TRENTON — Conservative activist James O'Keefe has released a video — titled "Teachers unions gone wild" — claiming to show undercover footage from a New Jersey Education Association leadership conference at the East Brunswick Hilton hotel.

The video shows people identified as teachers playing arcade games on "their dime," chanting about kicking Gov. Chris Christie "in the toolbox," and talking about how hard it is to fire a tenured teacher.

NJEA spokesman Steve Baker said O'Keefe is "completely and utterly discredited."

"It’s James O’Keefe and that’s all you need to know," Baker said, citing O'Keefe's legal troubles in the past.

"I'm sure he sent people into the conference," Baker said, but added O'Keefe dubbed the video and audio afterward.

O'Keefe told the Asbury Park Press he used "citizen journalists" to record conversations with teachers. The citizen journalists also played acting roles, according to APP.com.

"He admits that he uses actors to supply some of the lines," Baker said.

O'Keefe pleaded guilty in May to misdemeanor charges after entering the offices of Louisiana Sen. Mary Landrieu while posing as telephone repairmen. The 26-year-old grew up in Bergen County and attended Rutgers University.

Lord have mercy! The Star-Ledger is in the bag for the teachers’ unions. I have never seen a more hostile presentation of something that should be a straight factual story. O’Keefe had a video tape—hard to refute what the people said on the tape. Yet the Star-Ledger pulls every trick in the book—he dubbed the tape; he is “completely discredited” so you can't believe the tape; he sent plants in to make the statement—to essentially say, “Who do you believe? Me or your lying eyes.” This is amazing even for the doctrinaire liberal, union stooges at the Star-Ledger.

No doubt there are parents who can anonymously identify some of these teachers.

Then we’ll see........who is discredited.

O’Keefe is a hero. I wouldn’t let the left get away with dismissing him. Keep shoving the evidence in their faces until they acknowledge it.

Is there a thread yet for the union vote tampering story O’Keefe caught on tape? Seems a union official is actually bragging about how fake machines helped them win a tight mayoral election:

I’m hoping this goes to being top news by the end of today’s cycle. Some races are so lopsided it doesn;t matter, but many critical races are so close we can only win if we can supress the cheating.

I'm sorry Mr. Baker, you need to check your dictionary. Discredited does not mean what you think it means. Discredited means he has been PROVEN TO BE FALSE.

O'Keefe has actually been 100% accurate.

As he is, again, in this case.

Besides- he has video. is the VIDEO 'discreditted' too? Or is that really you and your group doing these things?

Has he hired a bodyguard yet?

Here’s the problem O’Keefe faces:
EVERYONE IN NEW JERSEY HAS KNOWN ABOUT EVERY PROBLEM ‘REVEALED’ IN THIS VIDEO, AND HAVE KNOWN ABOUT IT FOR DECADES.

So it is immaterial background noise...

imho.

The Union county vote fraud has been ongoing since the 1850s. Yes, the 1850s. It accelerated after the Democrat machine and union bosses realized they could import Puerto Ricans (cheap labor who can legally vote and easily duped out of union dues!) and take over the entire county in the 1940’s during the labor shortage during WWII, but that was a synthesized scale up of existing vote fraud machinations.

The Star Ledger might defend the NJEA and NJ tenure system today, but every year they write several articles about crackhead paedophiliac grafters in the NJ education sector. It makes good copy.

The Star Ledger will not exist in under 4 years... so pay them little attention... what is needed is a better way to coagulate conservative/libertarian new media bloggers working the NJ beat. On the Dem side they have bluenewjersey which has done quite a good job of it.

The constant interference by the Kushner clan into the NJ newmedia sphere has been an ongoing problem also.
