The new movement, which has taken inspiration from the US conservative group, is being spearheaded by disaffected former and present members of Benjamin Netanyahu's Likud party,
When it holds its inaugural rally in Tel Aviv on Sunday, the movement's stated target will be Mr Obama, the US president, whose call for a halt to Jewish settlement construction in the West Bank has caused anger on the Israeli right. The Likud party has long opposed the creation of a Palestinian state.
According to Michael Kleiner, a former Likud legislator who is one of the driving forces behind the movement, Mr Obama's policies towards Israel resemble the British attitudes in eighteenth century America that caused the original Boston Tea Party.
"We believe President Obama is trying to force us to do things that most Israelis believe are very dangerous," Mr Kleiner said. "We are being blackmailed to sacrifice our security and vital interests by another country, which is unprecedented."

All over the World.....God works in very mysterious ways.
It's not always easy but it sure is good to be on His side.
This is wonderful news! So what would be the true equivalent to the TEA party for the Jewish people? Captivity in Egypt? Let my People go Party?
LOL! Double entendre!
BiBi we’ve got your back. In spite of Obozo.
You got it. And it is really easy.
It’s the suffering fools part that’s always got me. Just imagine what would happen if a Tea Party started in Kenya.
I hope they’re thinking long term, and are committed. I know that the tide their fighting started 60 to 100 years ago. It’s no different here. It’s a very long term battle plan.
We have to think this way and stay proactive!! (active is the key, sitting on your a-s and talking does nothing, good intent is just that)
This is a silly concept.
Don’t want Russian Israelis to start Menschevik blocs... nor French Israelis to start Sarkozy inspired Union pour un Mouvement Populaire party in Israel.
Taxation in Israel is an existential extension of the security of every man woman and child in the state. It has been so since the creation of the state. There has never been extensive graft, fraud and misallocation of tax dollars because every shekel was always going toward multiple priorities that were underfunded.
Hang together or hang seperately.
Russians dominate Yisrael Beitenu. Sephardim dominate Shas. There are Arab parties. And the Likud is full of “Americans”, or Israelis who studies in America. Israel’s political system promotes small parties.

What? The demonstration in Um UlFachem yesterday wasn’t a tea party?
