Comedy of Errors: Obama declares his first two years "toughest since the Great Depression"
AIPNews.com ^ | Oct. 28, 2010 | Tom Hoefling

In his latest bid to make a joke of the Presidency, Barack Obama appeared Wednesday night on Comedy Central's "Daily Show with Jon Stewart."

From the "Upshot" Blog:

"Are you disappointed in how it's gone?" Stewart asked.

Obama replied that the situation is no surprise given the country's high unemployment, underwater mortgages, and an overall poor economy. "Folks are going to be frustrated, and that's going to reflect on the political environment," Obama said. Obama said that in context, he's "feeling great about where the American people are, considering what we've gone through."

"We've gone through the two toughest years since The Great Depression."

So, to translate that out of Obama-speak into normal English: "Folks have lost their jobs, they're losing their homes, and the prospects for anything better are dim. And I feel great about that."

What a guy! And he wonders why he and the crypto-Marxist political party he leads are on the verge of what could be the worst mid-term election losses any party has experienced in more than a hundred years?

Socialism has consequences, as Barack Obama is proving yet again. And it isn't funny.

"Meanhwile next weekend after the election he is off to India and his staff has booked all 570 rooms at the 5-star Taj Mahal hotel. When the going gets tough, the tough go shoppin"

Actually, it is worse than you think. I wanted to get the correct stat on the trip...

"To ensure fool-proof security, the President’s team has booked the entire the Taj Mahal Hotel, including 570 rooms, all banquets and restaurants. Since his security contingent and staff will comprise a huge number, 125 rooms at Taj President have also been booked, apart from 80 to 90 rooms each in Grand Hyatt and The Oberoi hotels. The NCPA, where the President is expected to meet representatives from the business community, has also been entirely booked. The officer said, “Obama’s contingent is huge. There are two jumbo jets coming along with Air Force One, which will be flanked by security jets. There will be 30 to 40 secret service agents, who will arrive before him. The President’s convoy has 45 cars, including the Lincoln Continental in which the President travels.”

I want to see a roster of the entourage. It is OUR money, we deserve to know who the h*ll is on this trip!

Worst since the Depression? I guess our fearless leader just forgot about World War II, the Korean War, Viet Nam, 9/11, The Cuban Missile Crisis, The Cold War...

A location that is most fitting. The actual Taj Mahal is a tomb.

Brian Kilmeade on Fox had it nailed this morning.

“Barack Obama has done the impossible. He’s actually made The Daily Show boring. Even when they’ve had their guns trained on us, they were never boring”.

“I wonder if he believes his own BS.”

Of course he does. He’s a through and through ideologue, and a narcissist as well.

Michelle will be happy. At least everyone will be skinny. Except her, of course.

*It’s still Bush’s fault.

These people are such children.*

If I was the president, I’d hate to admit that I was so feckless that nothing that I did in the last 2 years was able to produce any effect.

Just like ANY child from a wildly dysfunctional family raised by strangers sort of ‘on the street’ so to speak, he spends all of his time patting himself on the back and blaming others.

Bastard children learn to do this because they have no parental or family affirmation so they have to do it themselves. However, their self created confidence is frequently fragile. This is why Obama is constantly running away from the White House. I’m guessing out of 19 months in office he has spent only 2 or 3 actually in the WH. And, of course, we have fabulous luxury vacation #25 coming up next month.(so he can run away from the election)

Obama’s term so far has been characterized by vacations, constantly running away, throwing former friends and supporters under the bus, avoiding responsibility for anything, scorched earth politics, and blaming everyone around him for any setback.

“I’m really a great guy! You people just don’t understand how great I am. It is all just a simple misunderstanding.” This is a standard delusional pattern of an abused or neglected child.

But more than anything, just like any abused child, he craves adulation and approval and he just cannot, under any circumstances, keep his freakin’ mouth shut. He just doesn’t know when to SHUT-UP.

I wonder if he believes his own BS.

I really think he does. I think he's convinced that, given enough time, his policies will bring the economy roaring back.

Someone this delusional is dangerous to have at the helm, especially when the economy is as bad as it is right now. That's why it is SO important to win convincingly November 2nd and put the brakes on his disastrous programs.

Bringing up the rear, so to speak.

Just think how much better off the country would be if Mr. Obama had been asleep for the past 22 months?
