American Life League
28 October 2010
Washington, DC – American Life League president Judie Brown issued the following statement on the news that contributions to the University of Notre Dame fell by over $120 million during the fiscal year in which [Alleged] President Barack Obama, a zealous abortion advocate, delivered a speech and was honored at commencement ceremonies.
As one of the first responders to the scandal, American Life League and its supporters insisted that the university had forfeited its right to be called Catholic and thus petitioned for the school’s removal from The Official Catholic Directory.
“It is heartening to hear that Notre Dame’s donors responded so overwhelmingly to American Life League’s call and that of so many other organizations and individuals that were genuinely scandalized and saddened by the mockery made of an institution also known as ‘Our Lady’s University.’
“The fact that Notre Dame bestowed an honorary law degree on a man who is outspokenly committed to denying the poorest and weakest human beings their God-given human rights, pains me to this day.
“We want to thank, once again, the American Life League supporters who signed our petition to Bishop John D’Arcy and all those who supported our on-the-ground work in Fort Wayne and South Bend, Indiana.
“Clearly, our combined voices were heard by Notre Dame’s donors and, you can be very sure, will be felt by the university for a long time to come.
“The saga of Notre Dame, though tragic, is also an uplifting reminder that Christendom is still alive, courageous and responsive in the face of insults to Our Lord and His Blessed Mother.”
American Life League was cofounded in 1979 by Judie Brown. It is the largest grassroots Catholic pro-life organization in the United States and is committed to the protection of all innocent human beings from the moment of creation to natural death. When Catholics go stupid, film at 11.
Very sad. ND does not give a damn about students or babys lives. A scummy lib school.
“Workers Compensation is the exclusive remedy for a workplace death.”
Since when
And the kid was a paid employee of the school newspaper, and Indiana OSHA was there all day today.
This is GREAT news indeed! Defund the left, destroy all democrats and those that even speak to them.
As an ND grad, every time they call me looking for a donation, I tell them I will not give them a dime until they apologize for having Obama speak at Notre Dame. They say (every time) “Notre Dame has a long-standing tradition of having presidents speak at graduation.” And I reply, “US presidents don’t have a long-standing tradition of supporting grinding up aborted fetuses and using them for medical testing.” At that point they usually give up.
Fell 120 million from what????
I want Ratio’s man...
Poor kid. Prayers for his family.
The kid’s family may have a claim of some sort against the equipment manufacterer, but as against his employer, Workers Comp is it.
BTTT
Since 1937 in Indiana. A year or two one way or the other in every other state.
To expand your thought, hopefully that's exactly what will happen with the NEW House of Representatives!!!
I used to love Notre Dame football. Now I couldn't care less if I tried. I haven't watched a game all year and don't plan to watch them again.
Obambi getting an honorary degree was the last straw for me.
How’s the hopey changey thing goin’ for ya Irish libs? Feel special now that the abortionist in chief came to visit your school?
This is a pretty hard rebuke. Voting with their dollars...

Nothing REV about Jenkins!
As they teach in the school, “We reap what we sow!”
