Posted on 10/28/2010 6:27:35 PM PDT by Justaham
The National Football Leagues political action committeeGridiron PAChas weighed in on the hotly contested U.S. Senate election in Nevada that pits conservative Republican challenger Sharron Angle against Senate Democratic Leader Harry Reid.
The PAC has given $10,000 to Reidthe maximum it can give in a single election cycleand no money to Angle, according to Federal Election Commission data compiled by OpenSecrets.org.
The NFLs PAC also contributed to other incumbent Democratic senators facing viable challengers this year, giving $5,000 to Blanche Lincoln of Arkansas; $5,000 to Russ Feingold of Wisconsin; $5,000 to Barbara Boxer of California; $5,000 to Michael Bennet of Colorado; and $5,000 to Patty Murray of Washington.
In none of these races did the NFLs PAC contribute to the Republican challenger.
Of the $341,000 the NFLs PAC has contributed to congressional candidates in this election cycle, $340,000 has gone to incumbents. The other $1,000 went to Brian Rooney, an unsuccessful Republican primary candidate in a U.S. congressional district in Michigan, who is the grandson of Pittsburgh Steelers founder Art Rooney.

I wish I could quit watching NFL but I already have.
I am done with the NFL. Forever.
No more football viewing in my home. Idiots.
I’m not exactly sure why the NFL has a PAC - Other than millions in stadium subsidies and tax breaks and TV monopolies and ....
LOL! I told you idiots the NFL, NBA, MBL are 100% for Obama. The NFL also smeared Rush as a racist.
Keep watching bozos.
Who’s in charge of the PAC?
Turn out the lights, the party’s over.
The collective bargaining agreement is up in 2011. DeMaurice Smith, the NFLPA leader, is a big Obama buddy. The NFL knows that they don’t want to cross him, else they’ll be facing a huge strike. Also, Roger goodell is feminizing the NFL- what with the penalties against hard hits, the pink shoes and hats, the phantom “Penalties” against the Dallas Cowboys, and letting the New Orleans Saints win the Super Bowl.
I shouldn’t think this would sit well with a large part of their audience.
One more example how the socialists have indeed infiltrated boards, offices, committees and councils to influence big cash and directing it. The perfect Alinsky.
This rebellion we have initiated had better work, is all I can say.
I have watched my last NFL game ever... no matter what.
The NFL already has the masculine, patriotic support locked up. What they're now looking for is to increase their fanbase among women and gays.

I always thought that Roger Goodell was a conservative, especially since his wife Jane Skinner was a broadcaster on FOX News.
Ok Off it goes. It is a bunch of “Canadians” anyway. ( that is what we say around our Grand kids-— “ Canadians” )
Should be a real test for conservative guys. Drop football or support liberalism. Decisions, decisions.....
Just add this to the long list of reason I don’t watch ANY professional sports. SEC football is where it’s at!
NFL = Professional wrestling. I am certain many games are fixed. Especially playoff games.
LOL and because of Joy less’s vile, filthy, name calling -Angle has raised over a quarter of a million in two days!
Darn that 1/3 million could have helped the local taxpayers make a months interest payment on the Bengals stadium.
They also gave $10,000 to Pelosi.
It has nothing to do with conservative or liberal it has to do with the status quo.
What a rotten PAC(k) of leftists.

Roger Goodell is a businessman- he’s afraid of SEIU-types picketing his NFL games.
I do hope both the NFL and the NBA go on strike next year. The thug lifestyle won’t last long without $$$
Check this out!
Wow. This ought to drop a few fans.
College football for me!
Yep! They sure did!
Like most big business they support whomever is in power. Still, they suck.
HUMMM , seems like the owners of the teams have a big stake in this pac.
Well maybe they might not like getting booed at games.
fruck the nfl.
Well it is ironic because Obama’s time in office is halfway done, and once this Tuesday comes and goes, he is simply at the halfway point, a new lame duck. Gone in 2012!
Told hubby - he immediately responded “no more NFL in our house.”
Thanks for the heads up.
One time I turned on a game and Keith Olbermann was on my screen. Haven’t watched since.
Thank you all very much!

Thanks for the email. Just polished off a quick email.
Reminded them that Notre Dame just found itself $125 million for insulting their donor base with the Obama honorary hoopla, that over time the NFL will find a funny looking bottom line also for insulting those of us who are not into Mao.

I know it might sound “sexist” or some commie crap like that but I’m not “into” watching grown men running around wearing pink shoes with pink mouthpieces shoved in their mouth. Like the kids say, “That’s so gay”.
POS Vick was officially the last straw for me. I hope his legs are snapped. The NFL sucks more and more every year. If you must watch it, then watch in online for FREE. It is easy to find games streaming online, all of them, every single weekend. No Direct TV subscription, no frequenting Sports Bars for the sole purpose of watching the NFL Ticket, and no purchasing of NFL merchandise. Donate that Gridiron CRAP, I mean PAC.
I suppose the dim bulbs at the NFL PAC think the welfare class will buy their over-priced season tickets if they tick off Republicans.
