CHICAGO (AP) - Republican Mark Kirk says the Bush administration lied to him about the evidence for weapons of mass destruction in Iraq.
Kirk voted to invade Iraq and said he was morally certain Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction.
(Excerpt) Read more at whbf.com ...
Another thread recently revealed that Kirk has been endorsed by a group of black ministers who are far-left lifelong Chicago Democrats. This too, didn't even faze the Kirk apologists trying to convince conservatives to elect Jim Jeffords Jr.
Mark Kirk's veered so far left he's in "Bush lied, people died" Cindy Sheehan territory now. If he keeps it up, maybe Cindy just might endorse him by election day! I bet Marky would like that. And the Kirk apologists would be here in full force to defend him.
(sigh)
You just can’t fix stupid. And, Mark Kirk is apparently stupid on steroids!
We don’t need Republicans at any cost if they include morons like this!!

=================================================

FUMK!
Hey Mark, can you PROVE Bush lied? Or, are you just going by your knee jerk reaction because you’re desperate to win your race for Senator?????
He’s absolute scum. This crudball will do this to us every day if he gets elected.
This Socialist fraud MUST be stopped !
What an idiot! He voted for cap-and-tax, too, and I sent him a nasty letter about it even though I live in California. This guy gives RINOs a bad name.
Well, I guess we can be thankful that this RINO POS has finally revealed himself for the back stabber he is. If he gets elected, he’s one vote we can’t count on.
Did you ping his groupies ?
(/sarc)
This flippin’ weasel is Illinois’ choice vs. Obama’s crook-banker Alexi Gianoulias (I can’t be bother to look up his name)
Kirk will probably win, and the people of Illinois will be mis-served by yet another spineless RINO who is the exact opposite of what is needed
How long til this guy has a sex scandal? I shudder to think who (what) it will be about.
Did the RNC fund this guy??
Watch Mr. Obama go for a “war crimes” trial to get attention off his troubles.
This is the type of republican that only Rove could love.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but FReeper ChicagoLady said Chairman Michael Steele practically humped Mark Kirk’s leg at an IL party function. Steele loves sleazy liberal RINOs.
This dumb bastard isn’t worth a bobbing bowel nugget. I hope he loses.
Didnt wikileaks have a chapter on the existence of WMD’s
yes
I read that the latest Wikileaks dump vindicated Bush on the WMD “lie”.
Chronicals how as far back as 1998, the Democrats were all on board with invading Iraq and taking out Hussein. It wasn't until a Republican President got into office that their song changed.
Liars. Hypocrits. Fools. The Democrat Party in triplicate.
Even the anti-American, freedom hating traitorous rats are allowed to vote. The Illinois rat party, unions, state government bureaucracy, and cemetery balloting system is arguably the most corrupt political borg machine in the country. Il moderates and even some rats want to pass on Giannoulias, but they fear Kirk because they are little girly men who watch Bravo, or they are the beneficiaries of Obamunism. In WV you join the klan, but this is what you have to do to win in Il. A senator is a representative of the people. If the people are weenies, the senator should embody the principles, or lack thereof, espoused by the people of Ill.
Unless Keyes decides to run independent really soon the choice is RINO or rat.
Yeah, I know. Liars, hypocrits and fools is right.
We need to find different, bigger adjectives to describe them tho. The typical ones have been used so much it’s like calling somebody racist. That card has been played so much it doesn’t mean much anymore. We need words that will send them scrambling for dictionary.com.

Oh man, this piece of sh!+ Kirk must lose.
Its always the closeted HOMOSEXUALS like MARK KIRK that are the biggest RINOS.
He’s another Charlie Crist without the fake suntan.
Illinois Rep. Mark Kirk has had a dramatic few days, and now a popular gay blogger known for outing politicians claims to have sources confirming that Kirk is a closeted gay man.
Before the February Illinois primary, Kirk, a Republican vying for President Obama’s former senate seat, faced attacks from birther Andy Martin claiming that Kirk was gay. Kirk denied the claims, but now faces an attempted outing from the other side—the gay community.
Activist blogger Mike Rogers tends to target politicians with antigay voting records, and “outed” Sen. Larry Craig and Rep. Mark Foley. He was also featured in the film “Outrage” where he discussed closeted politicians who work against the gay community. In a Tuesday post on Rogers’ BlogActive, he explained why he decided to bring up Kirk’s sexuality now:
Until now, Mark Kirk elected not to play the typical Washington game. Instead of supporting his party’s dismal record on gay rights, Kirk received Human Rights Campaign ratings of 67% in 2002, 88% in 2004, 76% in 2006 and 85% in 2008. That’s more impressive than a lot of Democrats. I even let Kirk slide by when he didn’t co-sponsor earlier legislation relating to the repeal of Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell. My thoughts then were that he wasn’t THAT bad on gay stuff and that the bill was going nowhere anyway.
Though the HRC has supported Kirk in the past, the group pledged their support to Democrat Alexi Giannoulias last week after Kirk voted against the “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” repeal.
Rogers cited several sources who contacted him following Kirk’s DADT vote. Two men, whose names were not given, claimed to have had sexual relations with Kirk while he was in college.
The post also claims that Kirk alluded to his homosexuality to Rogers himself at a 2004 party in Washington:
It was at that party that I met Mark Kirk. I was introduced to him by the person I came with and at the time did not realize he was a member of the House. As my friend walked away, Kirk asked me if the man who introduced us was “single or attached.” When I said that he had a partner, Kirk replied disappointingly, “oh, well.” At the end of that interaction I walked away and didn’t think much of it at the time.
Kirk, who has no children and divorced his wife Kimberly Vertolli last year, denied that he was gay during Martin’s attacks in 2009. Vertolli also insisted to Chicago gay blog Feast of Fun that her ex-husband is not gay.
You’re not Kirk. You are not even a good imposter.
The Iraq Liberation Act of 1998 H.R. 4655 (PL 105-338) was passed October 5, 1998, in the U.S. House of Representatives by an overwhelming majority. On October 7, the companion bill, S. 2525, passed unanimously in the U.S. Senate, "establishing a program [to] support a transition to democracy in Iraq." [1]
Speaking on behalf of the bill in the Senate, Trent Lott said:

Let me be clear on what the U.S. objectives are: The United States wants Iraq to rejoin the family of nations as a freedom-loving and lawabiding member. This is in our interest and that of our allies within the region. The United States favors an Iraq that offers its people freedom at home. I categorically reject arguments that this is unattainable due to Iraq's history or its ethnic or sectarian makeup. Iraqis deserve and desire freedom like everyone else. The United States looks forward to a democratically supported regime that would permit us to enter into a dialogue leading to the reintegration of Iraq into normal international life. My Administration has pursued, and will continue to pursue, these objectives through active application of all relevant United Nations Security Council resolutions. The evidence is overwhelming that such changes will not happen under the current Iraq leadership. In the meantime, while the United States continues to look to the Security Council's efforts to keep the current regime's behavior in check, we look forward to new leadership in Iraq that has the support of the Iraqi people. The United States is providing support to opposition groups from all sectors of the Iraqi community that could lead to a popularly supported government. On October 21, 1998, I signed into law the Omnibus Consolidated and Emergency Supplemental Appropriations Act, 1999, which made $8 million available for assistance to the Iraqi democratic opposition. This assistance is intended to help the democratic opposition unify, work together more effectively, and articulate the aspirations of the Iraqi people for a pluralistic, participatory political system that will include all of Iraq's diverse ethnic and religious groups. As required by the Emergency Supplemental Appropriations Act for FY 1998 (Public Law 105-174), the Department of State submitted a report to the Congress on plans to establish a program to support the democratic opposition. My Administration, as required by that statute, has also begun to implement a program to compile information regarding allegations of genocide, crimes against humanity, and war crimes by Iraq's current leaders as a step towards bringing to justice those directly responsible for such acts. The Iraq Liberation Act of 1998 provides additional, discretionary authorities under which my Administration can act to further the objectives I outlined above. There are, of course, other important elements of U.S. policy. These include the maintenance of U.N. Security Council support efforts to eliminate Iraq's prohibited weapons and missile programs and economic sanctions that continue to deny the regime the means to reconstitute those threats to international peace and security. United States support for the Iraqi opposition will be carried out consistent with those policy objectives as well. Similarly, U.S. support must be attuned to what the opposition can effectively make use of as it develops over time. With those observations, I sign H.R. 4655 into law. WILLIAM J. CLINTON The White House, October 31, 1998. |

You mean he’s a walking richard with ears? /s
and others.
We must..
Article of interest for you, Chisel...
He’s even worse than I thought. This ought to be the nail in the coffin for IL Republicans to vote against Kirk.
“I hope he loses.”
Crappy as he is, think of this - wouldn’t it be a sweet slap in the face of BHO and all his Chicago thug buddies just to see a Republican fill his old seat in Illinois?
“I read that the latest Wikileaks dump vindicated Bush on the WMD lie.”
Wow - any links to that?
I’d like the link to which Wikileaks mention the WMDs too.
This will be awesome!
i propose sending him highlighted copies of the Wiki Leaks
that document the remains of those WMD that the Democrats and
their Muslim buds don’t want us discussing. And I would include a billing for the affair. On second thought you’re right with some politicians you just can’t fix stupid.
I was actually considering "holding my nose" and voting for Kirk because I just can't stand the thought of Giannoulias as our Senator.
And now here comes yet another example of Mark Kirk saying anything to get elected.
I'm not holding my nose on Tuesday, and I'm not voting for Kirk. Looks like I'm voting for Labno.
The There were no WMDs chant is still being raised?
Every time I hear it I bring up the destruction of the Khamisiyah weapons depot. A large amount of chemical weapons were destroyed including Sarin nerve gas and Mustard gas.

We don’t have a conservative to vote for in Illinois. We do have someone who votes conservative half the time. It’s a no brainer to vote for Kirk. I just saw a disgusting commercial in Illinois attacking Mark Kirk for not supporting the military, paid for by the anti-military party! These people are scum and have to be defeated. I will vote ENTHUSIASTICALLY for mark Kirk, even though he’s far from perfect. Ladies and gentlemen, this is not a primary!
I agree. Kirk will be significantly better than his opponent even though far from perfect.
He probably should have spent some time reviewing the evidence, but then he would have no one to blame.
Ask the Kurds if he did not have poison gas.
For once I agree with Kirk. The only thing this foolish war accomplished was to establish a pro-Iran regime in Baghdad and reimpose Shariah law in Iraq. Oh....another result was to cleanse half of Iraq’s Christian population in the country.
My recollection of the WMD charges was not that they still had left over materials, but were actively producing new chemical, biological and nuclear weapons.
They charged that Iraq was importing yellow cake uranium and aluminum tubes to produce weapons grade materials for nuclear weapons.
bttt
jerk...
Sybarite?
;-)
Yep. Sent me scramblin’. :)
