CHICAGO (AP) - Republican Mark Kirk says the Bush administration lied to him about the evidence for weapons of mass destruction in Iraq.
Kirk voted to invade Iraq and said he was morally certain Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction.

For once I agree with Kirk. The only thing this foolish war accomplished was to establish a pro-Iran regime in Baghdad and reimpose Shariah law in Iraq. Oh....another result was to cleanse half of Iraq’s Christian population in the country.
My recollection of the WMD charges was not that they still had left over materials, but were actively producing new chemical, biological and nuclear weapons.
They charged that Iraq was importing yellow cake uranium and aluminum tubes to produce weapons grade materials for nuclear weapons.

Some people will say anything to get elected. Kirk is pathetic. If he believes it he is an idiot and if he doesn’t then he is a liar. Either way its another of many issues that he is more like a Dem than a Republican.
We have a conservative, Mike Labno. He’s the only candidate, in that race, who is pro-tax cuts, pro-spending cuts, pro-life, pro-gun, and anti-illegal alien. If I thought that the race would be close, I would have voted for Kirk, since I didn’t want to help split the anti-Alexi vote, helping Alexi win, with 48%-50% of the vote. I think that someone will win by at least 5%, so I voted for Labno, twice.
In the spring of 2002, I heard, on the Fox News Channel and CNN, that all of the 9/11 hijackers were trained by the Iraqi Army. When we fight terrorists, in Iraq, we’re less likely to have terrorists, in the U.S. I was in the navy for 21 years, and I was near Baghdad, in the Triangle of Death, in a marine infantry battaltion, Sept. 2004-Mar. ‘05. While I was there, I rarely heard my co-workers complain about being there. After I returned to the U.S., I heard many people, who haven’t been there, complain about the war.
The RNC, NRSC, and McCain were all on the Kirk bandwagon back in the summer of ‘09, endorsing him because he could win and had plenty of money. Well, looks like he will need some money from the GOP and he probably won’t win either. That is what happens when you have NO base.

Really, who's that? It's certainly not Kirk, I've never agreed with half the votes he casts. He's voted with me on a handful of issues but the vast majority of the time he sides with the Dems when it's an important issue. Kirk is so liberal he's to the left of the Madigan-installed Chicago Democrats representing me in the Illinois General Assembly.

The truth offends you then? Kirk has stabbed our troops in the back on numerous occasions, including voting with the Dems to close Gitmo, voting AGAINST the Iraq surge, and leading a group of "moderate" RINOs to the White House to demand Bush cut-and-run back in 2007. And Kirk has flat out lied about his record and dishonors all of those who really did serve in battle and risk their lives. That's stolen valor and even vets who are holding their nose and voting for Kirk (like my dad, who did the grunt work in Vietnam), resent Kirk's lies about he "fought" in platoons, served in operation desert storm, took Iraqi fire, was named intelligence officer of the year, etc. Just because Kirk signed up for the military it doesn't mean he hasn't stabbed our troops in the back. Jack Murtha and John Kerry also served and like Kirk, deserve nothing but contempt from people who care about America.
