The gruesome case of a man who was stabbed and beheaded in a suburban Phoenix apartment has police investigating whether the killing is potentially the most extreme example of Mexican drug cartel violence spilling over the border.
Martin Alejandro Cota-Monroy's body was found Oct. 10 in a Chandler apartment -- his severed head a couple feet away. One man suspected in the killing has been arrested, and a manhunt is under way for three others.
Detectives are focused on whether the men belong to a Mexican drug cartel, and they suspect that Cota-Monroy's killing was punishment for stealing drugs. The brutal nature of the killing could be designed to send a message to others within the cartel.
"If it does turn out to be a drug cartel out of Mexico, typically that's a message being sent," said Chandler police Detective David Ramer. "This person was chosen to be executed. It sends a message to other people: If you cross us, this is what happens."

That was the problem all along. If there is Civil War in Mexico, it means there is Civil War here in the US. Simply due to the fact that a significant percentage of Mexican citizens reside here. And judging by Obamas 'attack your enemies' comment. One must conclude that the President of the United States wants a Mexican Civil War within the US.

A typical ivy-tower liberal. I suspect that this is just the tip of the iceberg and it will increase. Like city gangs, they respond to violence with violence. The cartels have just ramped it up.

I don’t want to make light of this man’s death without knowing the story...for all we know, he could be someone who has lived in the US as a citizen, followed the process, works hard and just happened to be in the wrong place and ended up being used as an example etc.
But, if you have that kind of background, your chances of having your head sawed off by drug gangs is pretty low. It could happen, but is pretty darned unlikely.
I will agree on the hit-men being illegal, though. Tactics coming to a country near us soon...oops, I mean here NOW.”

BINGO! These deaths could have ALL been prevented on our soil.
This does highlight the issue rather brightly, doesn’t it?
If you remember, a few months back Brewer said something about beheadings happening up here and the whole world crashed down on her. They said she was nuts, etc. Well, I think this has been happening before now and it’s to the point where they can’t keep it quiet anymore.

I lived in Chandler for twelve years. There are some seedier areas but for the most part it is middle class suburbia.
