W.H.: 'Daily Show' was 'a success'

Here’s what you need to know from Thursday’s White House briefing with press secretary Robert Gibbs:

— President Obama’s interview with Jon Stewart was “a success,” Gibbs declared, insisting that the White House didn’t expect “a bunch of softball questions.” On the ride back, Obama told Gibbs and David Axelrod that “he thought it was a good opportunity to walk through what he’s done,” Gibbs said.

For the Bush administration the War in Iraq was a success.

For the Obama administration appearing on a TV program is a success.

No doubt President Ford felt that he had really zinged Gov. Carter when he astutely pointed out that there was no Soviet domination of Eastern Europe.

Jon Stewart did hit the nail on the head when he said this time around instead of hope and change the slogan is please baby one more chance!

Not hard to fathom. If they were dumb enough to think going on it was a good idea, they’re dumb enough to think the results were a success.

Haha...the titanic would be playing rap music in the 0bama version when it goes down.

The Won called into a Dallas rap/hip-hop radio station DJ too to tell everyone to vote early. That won is so cool!

If it truly was a success, they wouldn’t need to tell everybody. The 3 stooges could run the Whitehouse better than this crew.

Stewart calls Barry “Dude” and Gibbs thinks the appearance was a success?

I’d hate to see what he regards as failure.

Don’t they see that part of Obama’s problem is overexposure and fatigue? It’s bad enough that is policies are horrible, but every time he gets in front of the camera and starts with those stupid car in a ditch and slurpee metaphors he is just damaging himself further.

May they never figure that out.

Obama told Gibbs and David Axelrod that “he thought it was a good opportunity to walk through what he’s done,” Gibbs said.

Reminds me of an old 70s movie. A yuppie couple threw a painfully terrible party. The man (I think it was Richard Benjamin) told his wife, "Well, I think the omelettes were a success."

I am quite sure that if he were a fading actor, then surely Obama’s appearance was a success, but as a president, the success lies in the success of his policies.

Obama is a true idiot. He has the mind of, I’m guessing around an average to below average 15 year old child.

This is not a kneejerk insult. I say this as a real clinical opinion. And everyday, everything he says and everything he does only confirms the diagnosis.

“The car is in the ditch. And there are alligators in the ditch. An, an, an I’m down there in the mud, with my boots on, pushing and pushing. And the Republicans are up top, sucking on Slurpees...” Who talks like this!?

I submit that the guy is mentally retarded or he is deranged.

The jury is still out on which is worse but the consensus is that either choice is very, very bad for the country.

“I don’t like the Constitution and Congress and the ‘rules’. It just gets in my way. It just makes everything too hard. Why won’t they just do what I want and do what I saaay. I’m telling.”

Gee, maybe he could go on Jerry Springer's show and brag about being a success, there, too. What a low class clown sits in the WH now. To think that he considers being a success on these shows as something to brag about.

I always said Obama didn't care if he was elected president, or became chief jester in a court. He just wants attention and to feel important. It has nothing to do with the job or the importance of being a good leader. It is all about getting applause and adoration for the narcissist-in-chief. The man is truly, emotionally dysfunctional and sick, sick, sick.

Without all this type of planned attention on these shows he would fade into oblivian. So his supporters have to get him out therre to get something that will boost his spirit. The best they can do are the stupid shows that really show how unimportant and insignificant he is when the hosts can think they can easily call him "dude" and get away with it because he does not deserve the respect a strong leader and honorable president would deserve. How he can feel happy about that appearance just shows how desperate he is for attention.
