Angela McGlown, a black congressional candidate from Mississippi who lost the Republican primary to Alan Nunnelee, contends that her involvement in the Tea Party movement is not about a black or white issue. Its not even about Republican or Democrat, from my standpoint. All of us are taxed too much.

If Dems can’t play the race card, what will they do?
To: Islander7
IMHO, Larry Elder would have had a much easier time defeating Boxer than Fiorina had John Cornyn and the NRSC not kicked him to the curb.

The Tea Party represents all people who care about America and our futures.

i read this story a couple of weeks ago- in the UK Telegraph...
not one member of the criminal liberal media in this nation has told the story of the 3 dozen+ black Republicans, who are backed by the Tea Party, on the ballot in two days....

Indeed!
I see black people as American, not “Black”.
It’s not race. I’m post racial.

Because the assumption is the Republican Party is for whites and the Democratic Party is for blacks. Ask Gov. Patterson and Rep. Meek about this.

“The Republican Party is hoping to put a record number of African Americans in Congress after Tuesday’s election; despite the fact the first black president is highly unpopular within the party.”This is awesome news. We need to find excellent minority candidates everywhere we can, encourage them to run, and make a special effort to really support them.
We can not lose all minority voting groups forever and expect to be able to win governing majorities.
To: Islander7
Something that is not much talked about is these Black Republicans don’t come from Black-dominated areas. Most—if not all—current members of all Democrat Congressional Black caucus come from Black-dominated areas.

Dem establishment doesn’t want blacks in office. They need to go work for Sharpton as far as they are concerned.

Can you imagine how racist we would be is that happened? Even more racist than we are now. I didn’t think that was possible.

K. Carl Smith, president of the Conservative Messenger, explained of the coalition, We want to reignite Americas passion for liberty and create an atmosphere for political dialogue where conservative candidates can engage in conversation about the issues without being accused of racism or called Uncle Toms. He adds, Its finally time for our nation to get past racial barriers in politics, and with Operation Black Storm we intend to send a message to Washington that above all Americans of all backgrounds, colors, and decent faiths want their God-given right for SELF-RULE. I am so happy to hear that the blinders are finally coming off for those who think the Democrats are the only party that cares. The Dems only want to enslave all Americans to their rule and I will joyfully vote for anyone, regardless of race, who defends the rights we all have as Americans. The freedoms we have are precious and our rights are endowed to us by our creator, no one should be permitted to take them from us.

Does anybody know if J C Watts was permitted to be a member of the Congressional Black Caucus? He may not have sought membership; I understand that.

Oh they will continue to play the race card with a vengeance. They have names for blacks that don't toe the line and become Republican or Conservative. It's quite deliberate and cynical to prevent others from escaping the Democrat plantation.

They will send their poverty pimps like Sheila Jackson Lee and Al Sharpton to denigrate them as Oreos and Uncle Toms.
