Despite allegations of racism in Tea Party organizations, the Republican Party, and conservative groups, 2010 has witnessed more black Republican activism than ever before. Thirty-seven African Americans in 16 states have been in contention for seats in the U.S. Senate and the House of Representatives this year.
Fox News reports, The Republican Party is hoping to put a record number of African Americans in Congress after Tuesdays election; despite the fact the first black president is highly unpopular within the party.

Oh man wouldn’t that be poetic justice. LOL
the MSM will call them “Uncle Toms.”
Obama is bi racial, not black.
Wouldn’t it be wonderful to have one more black conservative in Congress than black liberal and have the conservatives take over the so-called Black Caucus?
Move along... no punchlines for Bill Maher or John Stewart here.
And bi or dual-citizenship. He’s truly African/American. Half African, half-American and all Marxist!
Sooner or later that old dog ain't gonna hunt, and people will wake up.
(btw, the black conservatives running are as sharp as any candidates in the field. It's going to be tough for the MSM to refute the reality of what's happening because of the Tea Party movement.
So are the Democrats. Just look at Alvin Greene down in South Carolina...
I’m not sure who is more obsessed with race the left or the right.
Why does this matter? We are the party that doesn’t take a persons skin color into account. Unlike the Dumocraps. All we care about is that persons ability to do the job. Race should never matter. It only matters to those who wish to divide this great republic!
Is Alan West going to win?
I think we’re going to get a pretty impressive number of conservative Hispanics in, too. What are they to the left, Uncle Pedros?
Shove the “racist” crap right back at them!
Obama, who he is and what he is, is EXACTLY why the Founding Fathers made it a requirement that those who would hold the highest office in the land had to be natural born citizens. Obama is not, and it’s abundantly clear why that’s important. Talk about irony!
we need to get Star Parker in the Senate!!
I think the term you’re looking for is Tio Tomas. :)
Sssshhhhhhhhhh. It's all part of our secret "evil" plan to put AMERICANS (regardless of skin tone) back into our government!
I think more than African, he is Indonesian, he’ll get a hero’s welcome when he goes HOME on this next tour.
So the vanilla-tinted MSM called black candidates “Uncle Toms?” Smart.
Uncle Tom was a hero.
Free Republic, Fox News, Washington Times et al are the new MSM.
You must talking about the state run MOP - Ministry of Propaganda - like NPR that few watch, read or listen.
perhaps someone has mentioned this, but if not: imagine, savor, the notion of a republican majority in the congressional black caucus!
The Republican Party doesn’t *put* people in Congress.
Patriotic Americans offer their time and effort to serve the voters as citizen representatives. Party affiliation is secondary. Race is immaterial, but principles and honor are sacred.
Fortunately, conservatives of all backgrounds are finding the courage to run for elective office.
God Love You, Col. Allen West.
But but but the TEA Party is racist....right?
I’ve always been curious as to why the MSM and their allies us ‘Uncle Tom’ as a synonym for ‘traitor’. In the Harriet Beecher Stowe novel, Uncle Tom allowed himself to be beaten to death by Simon Legree and his henchmen, rather than give the location of two runaway slaves. This is not the action of a servile lackey. Perhaps we should start referring to the reverend Sharpton and his ilk as Samboes and Quimbys, after Simon Legree’s enforcers.
The full text of the book can be found here
If we can’t get rid of Barney Frank or San Fran Nan...this would still be highly rewarding.
Is the Black Caucus even reachable with the numbers?
I’m sure Jessie and Al and John and Charlie and Maxine are proud of their brothers.
BTY, are you aware that articles from thenewamerican.com do not have to be excerpted?
Yep this would be great. I would love to see more black and other minority Republicans. The Republican agenda is color blind, and appeals to anyone who favors limited government and lower taxes, among others.
I hope this is true. But just wait for the Oreo Jokes from the H-Wood elitists.
Then ofcourse we will all see who the REAL racists are, now won’t we?
The half educated lackeys in the MSM didn't actually read the books to which they refer.
They aren’t really “black.” I’m told this all the time.
There he is!!!!
Once a year, we need a dose of racist kid, would say boy....but....you know....
This is great news, and I intend to spread it around.
“Oh man wouldnt that be poetic justice. LOL”
Yes it would, but don’t expect the bastard media to notice.
Uh, last time I checked, the dem party was mostly white, too.
This is fascinating. Just how many members does the Congressional Democrat Black Caucus have? Wouldn’t it simply be incredible if there were more in the Republican caucus?
Darn...I was gonna post that gif...lol!
Yeah, and this corn is yellow............
A few days ago, some guy on here was claiming black conservatives had to “prove” themselves to Republicans. What a load of bs. We have great black conservative candidates, at least three of whom will win this time. Many of our best political commentators are black, Williams, Sowell, Elder. After this election we will have two Indian-American governors, two Hispanic govenors, an Hispanic senator, numerous black, Hispanic and Asian congressional representatives. I am pretty sure all of them will have been elected from majority white districts. How many minority Democratic officials get elected from majority white districts? Now, tell me, please, who are the racists?
Heh. I’d like to see what happens when someone calls Col. Allen West (running in FL-22) an Uncle Tom.
CBC meetings are going to be very, very interesting
Someone called him an Afro-cracker one night....That seems to cover all the PC incorrect/correct bases.
Tim Scott ping!
