Despite allegations of racism in Tea Party organizations, the Republican Party, and conservative groups, 2010 has witnessed more black Republican activism than ever before. Thirty-seven African Americans in 16 states have been in contention for seats in the U.S. Senate and the House of Representatives this year.
Fox News reports, “The Republican Party is hoping to put a record number of African Americans in Congress after Tuesday’s election; despite the fact the first black president is highly unpopular within the party.”

The Republican Party doesn’t *put* people in Congress.
Patriotic Americans offer their time and effort to serve the voters as citizen representatives. Party affiliation is secondary. Race is immaterial, but principles and honor are sacred.
Fortunately, conservatives of all backgrounds are finding the courage to run for elective office.

I’ve always been curious as to why the MSM and their allies us ‘Uncle Tom’ as a synonym for ‘traitor’. In the Harriet Beecher Stowe novel, Uncle Tom allowed himself to be beaten to death by Simon Legree and his henchmen, rather than give the location of two runaway slaves. This is not the action of a servile lackey. Perhaps we should start referring to the reverend Sharpton and his ilk as Samboes and Quimbys, after Simon Legree’s enforcers.

Yep this would be great. I would love to see more black and other minority Republicans. The Republican agenda is color blind, and appeals to anyone who favors limited government and lower taxes, among others.
