A Manhattan man who miraculously survived getting hit by a subway train over the weekend could pen a movie about his experience -- he's a big-time Hollywood screenwriter, sources said yesterday.
Will Rokos, who earned an Academy Award nomination for the Halle Berry-Billy Bob Thornton movie "Monster's Ball," was in critical but stable condition at Bellevue Hospital yesterday, a day after he was clipped in the head by a train while leaning over a subway platform.
Cops said Rokos was waiting inside the 14th Street station at Seventh Avenue for a No. 2 train Saturday afternoon when he leaned over to peer down the tunnel.
Suddenly, the northbound train barreled into the station, striking Rokos in the head.

When I watched Monster’s Ball, I felt like I was the one hit by a train. And talk about a skanky and gratuitous sex scene in a pathetic and disjointed downer of a movie.
I could only watch a few minutes of that movie. It was dumb. Now I know why.
Somehow I think that the premise offered by the article is faulty as the person was clipped in the head and is in critical condition. Doesn’t matter what he did before this happened.
Was the train driver a film critic?

So.. a lib writer fell in front of a train and wants to make $$ from it.
Another question... did it really take 3 reporters to write this?
I think I watched a bit of that movie and turned it off.
It sounds like the victims were the viewers of the film he wrote!
I’ve peered down the tunnel, too, but can’t imagine any sober person continuing to peer long enough to get struck on the head by a train.
To each his own..one of my favorite movies. Billy Bob is one of my favorite actors.

It was a dark night, I peered down the tunnel like a dumba*s, the train hit me, I went to the hospital, I got better, the end.
Please show me where it says he wants to make money from this. Who cares if he’s a liberal and nowhere in this article does it say that he is...A man survived after falling in front of a train. I celebrate that...sorry you don’t.
He wrote “Monsters’ Ball”, he should have stayed in front of the train. /s
For me, Slingblade is a great classic but Monster’s Ball oh well.
That was the movie which allowed us to hear one of the dumbest acceptance speeches in Academy Award history, Halle Berry accepting her award as a victory for all people of color who were denied in the past. She joined the groups of mixed race people (Barack Obama is another) who celebrate the heritage of the parent who abandoned them while ignoring the efforts of the white parent who stuck around to raise them.
They said he was famous, not that he was bright...
