DENVER (AP) - Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin has endorsed Tom Tancredo, the American Constitution Party candidate for governor.
Palin urged voters Monday to support Tancredo, saying he will fight for lower taxes and smaller government.
The 2008 GOP vice-presidential nominee also said Tancredo will start growing the economy.

Ping to Beaversmom..... oh, wait.
Excellent!
Shocked by this one.
:) Love ya DC. Sure hope we are going to be celebrating tomorrow!
That about sums up Palin. Just a headline grabber.
Tancredo is a buffoon.
This’ll bring the Steve Schmidt & Karl Rove long knives out. Good! It’s a battle that needs to be fought and the sooner the better..
Heh Hehe Heh
This is terrific news. But I really, really wish that Sarah had done this a few weeks ago (when early-voting started). I hope that it isn’t too late.

Tancredo is a buffoon.
Whatever you say. I’ve already voted for Tom Tancredo.
Better late than never. Sarah, what took so long? Too many races, so little time?
Anyway, it is what is. Palin's endorsement would have been more helpful a couple of weeks ago, but oh well. Magellan pollster is saying Tancredo pulls it off.
The delay of endorsement is critical. If Palin had endorsed lets say two weeks ago, Hickenpooper would have hit Tancredo hard with negative attack ads and mailers...now it is straight up from here and Tanc peels off about4 to 5 from Maes.
I’m sure he’s been called worse.
I am SO going to enjoy Hugh Hewitt’s reaction to Tancredo’s win!
See post 14....and to all Myth supporters see post #14
Did DU ban you, so you had to come here?
When Hugh Hewitt sees this he’ll throw a hissy fit.
There is nothing that would have forced Maes out nothing..
Palin robocall

This should give Tancredo a little late push and it’s a nice gesture by Sarah. I read an article maybe a week ago where Tom, while he didn’t tear Palin down wasn’t exactly flattering. She seems able to rise above this petty bickering and put the country’s needs first. .
Can a candidate really get negative numbers?? ;-)
Given that Maes is only polling at 6%, isn't 4 to 5 enough? :)
All you guys piling on Palin and Tancredo, just what cause are they both fighting for, a lib agenda? For crying out loud, they both want to restore the constitution. We all have to start somewhere. Later on, we can sort out our differences. We need to ALL get on board for the basics of our constitution, or our entire way of life, the idea of America, it’s lost. Your purity is not what’s needed now. Restoring the constitution is.
Craig Silverman just gave a glowing endorsement to both Tom Tancredo and Ken Buck. I have no doubt Ken Buck is going to win. I also think Tom is going to pull this one off. Go TT!!!!!
As far as Dan Maes is concerned, he will be the most hated man in Colorado if TT does happen to lose.
I have seem Maes polling 7 to 8. IMHO Maes will finish with 3 max.
Perfect analysis.
I was just going to post that in a thread of its own.
There were threats.
She’s been supporting Tancredo secretly.
The Grassroots TPE knew that.
They are paid Myth tools.
Not really. Remember, Tancredo endorsed Romney.
LOL. You beat me by 21 seconds. Actually, if Tancredo can peel off 4 to 5 from Maes, that means Maes would still be above water, but he’d only get 1 or 2% of the vote.
I heard him on KHOW a while ago saying he’s going to “get double what the polls show him at”. I screamed at the radio - “man that doesn’t even get you above 10%”. What a fool.
Oops. Don’t rant.
No all of us. And besides, how would they know, right?
Thanks. I just get so frustrated. We’re out here in the trenches, teaching people about the constitution, and they’re worried about their fly on the wall.
Tancredo as Governor is even more the Real Thing than Jan Brewer, who is just following Russ Pearce's cue.
The Invasion will be rolled back, east of California.
But California will come next. There will be no more Mexican flags on U.S. soil.
She stood up for Juan Williams & that one lady who used the "n" word.
But that was when Congressman Tancredo was a Republican. Now he’s not, so they’ll use that against her.
If by buffoon you mean someone who wants to close the borders, then I guess I’m a buffoon too.
And continue to fight illegal immigration.
me too (buffoon)
If they can make “gay” a bad word, we can make a good word out of a formerly objectionable word.
That’s not a rant, that’s reality. We’re fighting obama voters. Think of that. We have a HUGE mountain to climb before we can nitpick over policies.
A little late in the day I would think considering the amount of early voting taking place. A week ago would have been better but better late than never I guess.
Why? They’re not Republicans either. :)
I really dont have this feeling about her as being presidential, Tancredo said. I dont know what it is exactly. I dont know if the issues really are that difficult for her or not. http://washingtonindependent.com/77913/tancredo-on-palin-i-really-don%E2%80%99t-have-this-feeling-about-her-as-being-presidential
Perhaps she had a similar feeling about him as being gubernatorial...until now.
Maybe. But he's about >< close to beating a flaming liberal. So, please: tell me how you would mark your ballot for governor in Colorado.
Tancredo seems to rub a lot of people the wrong way, but honestly, in a race as tight as this one, with Hickenlooper poised to become the next governor if Tancredo loses, exactly how would you vote?
Attention whore much?
So did one of my personal faves, Jim DeMint. I can only chalk it up to the fact that given the choices they had, and the fact that they knew the candidates for president personally, they picked the one who seemed to be the most stable.
I am so far from being a Mitt Romney supporter that it isn't funny, but I will say that the way that John McCain self-destructed at the end of the 2008 election tells me that maybe they (Tancredo & DeMint, among others) were trying to make the best of a bad situation.
I'm giving Tancredo (and DeMint) a pass on their endorsement of Romney.
