Biden Rejected: Ghost of Palin Out Draws Veep 5-to-1 in Dueling Delaware Rallies
Monday, November 1, 2010 | Kristinn

Posted on 11/01/2010 5:49:50 PM PDT by kristinn

Following on the heels of the humiliating half-full arena with thousands of empty seats he shared yesterday in Cleveland with Barack Obama, Vice President Joe Biden this evening made his final 2010 campaign appearance in his home state of Delaware to a paltry crowd of 200.

The AP reported on the rally:

Biden headlined a Democratic rally in downtown Wilmington on Monday evening that drew about 200 people.

In contrast, the Delaware News Journal reported that Republican Senate nominee Christine O'Donnell headlined a Tea Party Express rally also in Wilmington on Halloween that drew 1,000 people--five times the number Biden attracted the next day--in part on speculation that Sarah Palin would show

... there was hope among the 1,000 or so in attendance that the former GOP vice presidential nominee would show.

That's right, in Joe Biden's home state, a mere rumor of an appearance by Sarah Palin helping Christine O'Donnell drew five times as many Delawareans as did the sitting local hero vice president. Now that's an enthusiasm gap!

Forgive me for this.

But when I was a stupid 20-something voting for the best looking names or whatever the heck stupid way I voted, COD would’ve got me hands down. The witch stuff just makes her that much hotter. She has most of the guy vote. ;-)

I have a sneaking suspicion that what happens in Delaware tomorrow night will dwarf Scott Brown’s victory in Mass. last January.

Thanks kristinn.

In his defense, there were only 200 people in Delaware who hadn't met him.

I’d like to know how many of those 1000 came for Christine!

More than some might imagine—a lot more.

I hope I’ve not become a sentimental of fart. I have frequently been called a male chauvinist pig! But in either case; I liked COD the moment I saw her and heard her speak to her audiences in DE. The more I see of her the better I like her. She has a charm when interacting with people that would be priceless if she could bottle and sell it. I just plain LIKE her!

Well, the good folks in Delaware finally figured out what a dummy, moron, fool, idiot, useless human being VP Joe Biden is!!!! And Chris Coons is actually and objectively dumber then Biden. Ladies and Gentlemen of Delaware if you want more of Obama and his endless trek to destroy America (that means you!!!) then go right ahead and vote for that left-wing, communist, buffoon Chris Coons. The O’Donnell lass is the one!!!!

If these are AP numbers, the real totals are probably more like 100 to 2000.

Then again, we're talking about a pitiful Vice President.

That’s the great thing about those smaller venues,
your chances of winning the door prize are much
better........they do give out prizes for going
don’t they?

No? Lame!

200?

From AP? What was their reporting on crowd size comparison between Beck vs. Steward rallies?

Yeah, I thought so.

Christine just mentioned the differing crowd numbers in her favor on Greta. With a smile.

Christine just Tweeted about Biden's paltry crowd:

ChristineOD VP Biden comes to DE, stumps for my opponent, and only draws a crowd of 200? Oh, this race is so winnable! http://wapo.st/bc9AlE #desen

And

ChristineOD The VP came to rally my opponent's GOTV efforts, but like his economic policies, the rally failed to deliver. http://wapo.st/bc9AlE #desen

Well, there was a raffle. First prize was getting a photo taken with Joe Biden--and second prize was getting two photos taken with Joe Biden.
