THE RISING TIDE
11/2/10 | Self

Posted on 11/02/2010 1:12:10 AM PDT by Nextrush

In three hours I will be at the polling place voting for Pat Toomey to replace Arlen Specter in the United States Senate.

Senator Pat Toomey sounds good, but for me Senator Sharron Angle sounds even better. The more I learn about her, the more I realize that she will be a force willing to say NO just like Senator Jesse Helms would when the RINO's pushed their agenda in the Senate back in the 1980's.

A rising tide lifts all boats and it looks the tide is very high. I've been convinced of an 80 seat House gain for Republicans for the last month. This will bring RINO's in but it will also bring in authentic consevatives and patriots who are ready to move this country towards its foundation.

Back to the Senate, there's no doubt in my mind that this tide will carry Rand Paul to victory in Kentucky. Imagine, a United States Senator named after Ayn Rand.

I'm not a big Rand reader, but I had a college roommate who read passages from her writing about the progressives of the past out loud to me back in 1980. That's 30 years before Glenn Beck talked to us so profoundly about them.

Next, I think of Joe Miller in Alaska. The liberals and RINO's are rooting and scheming for Lisa Murkowski. The Republican polling firm Magellan Strategies came out with a poll last week showing a ten point Murkowski lead.

A win for Miller is a win for Sarah Palin and this is something that neither the Left nor the GOP RINO Romney establishment can stomach. The fight for 2012 is beginning right now in Alaska.

And last but never least is Christine O'Donnell. The Conservative Journal polling over the weekend put her five points down from Coons 50-45 with five percent undecided. I see hope for the high tide sweeping her to victory today.

And I did more than hope, I put money into her race and the candidacy of outsider Keith Rothfus, who is the Republican candidate in the 4th Congressional District of Pennsylvania.

We'll need people like Christine and Keith to change things in Washington and I think this wave can carry both of them and many others to victory today.

I wish you all a safe, sane and sober day.

I hadn’t heard about that poll. I had written this race off. That is encouraging. I will be praying for Christine and the rest of the patriots on the ballot today. Let’s hope for 100 pickup in the House and 13-14 in the Senate.

Is the later opening hour because of a smaller population? Just curious.

Go Delaware! For the first time, you’ll be giving us a SANE and HONORABLE REPRESENTATIVE.

THAT IS CHRISTINE O’DONNELL!

Let Coons handle his corruption charges first!

Those hours make it hard for the employed to vote and easy for those who don’t work. This year maybe that won’t be so bad given that the unemployed are likely blaming that on 0bama.

She will win and McKooksi will lose. She was running around yesterday courting the Eskimo vote and trying to teach them how to spell her name.

there are a lot of good reasons to be optimistic.

Brices Crossroads has done good work showing the facebook numbers. In an 18 hour period from 6a to midnight monday, Christine added 235 facebook fans and Coons added 30. That’s about 8 to 1.

The Christine / tea party express rally on Sunday drew 1000+.
The Coons / Biden rally on Monday drew 200 at most.

The motivation, excitement, enthusiasm for Christine on the ground is there, and it’s not there for Coons.

Typically, motivated, excited, enthusiastic voters are more likely to vote. That’s the “enthusiasm gap” that people have been talking about.

So far, the attacks on Christine have tried to paint her as a witch, who doesn’t like masturbation and who doesn’t fully understand the 1st Amendment. None of those things are the kinds of things that would make someone get up and out of the house and vote for her opponent.

Christine has remained focused on the basic message that Coons would be a bad Senator. If you elect Coons, he will make your life worse. I’m not sure that anyone has bothered to tie together these interesting things about Christine with making your life worse.

There are lots of reasons to think that the polls will be way off in a lot of places this year. Many pollsters started polling with the assumption that the same people will be voting this year as in 2008. We, here, know that a lot of Conservatives were not thrilled with McCain in 2008. Palin was not enough for many of them, and a lot of them stayed home. Often, if you did not vote in 2008, you are not considered a likely voter by pollsters.

On the other hand, I honestly don’t believe that TCJ is actually taking polls. But the number is fairly reasonable, although I think Christine will win.

MORE THAN A THUMPIN'

Obama says Dems are in trouble because Americans aren't thinking clearly. He's delusional.

Time to put the federal beast back into its cage.

Forget the polls, forget the media spin. Go to the ballot box and put an end to the Dem Party on November 2, 2010.

Throw this putrid congress out on their heads.

The polls will stay open until 8. The scenario you’re outlining isn’t relevant where I’m at. LePage will win my town and will win Maine. There are no traffic jams here, or commutes. There’s also no questions asked absentee voting in Maine, and 21% have voted that way.

I feel like a kid at Christmas today. Up at 5:30am and ready to peek at what is under the tree. I have to wait but I surely know the presents are what I have wanted for so long and those who have been naughty are getting their lump of coal with a pink slip!

I already voted....two weeks ago, for John Raese in WV. This was the first time I early voted, I was so eager I went down the afternoon on the first day of early voting. I'm not sure if I like early voting though, it's kind of like opening your Christmas presents a few days early. When the “big day” finally arrives you feel like your not really participating.

I too look forward to casting my vote for Pat Toomey. I’ll be at the polls all day greeting voters and poll watching. After several Tea Party rallies, I sought out a position as Committee Representative in my local voting district. I’ve walked my feet off carrying literature to my neighbors, and I’ve enjoyed talking to many of them. Even in our corner of suburban Philadelphia, conservatives are coming out of hiding and saying “enough”. Many of them are moms and grandmoms. Others are good men who are fed up with a government run by elitists, do-gooders and metrosexuals. I hope it will be enough to fire Allyson Schwartz. Pennsylvanians deserve better. America deserves better.

"Senator Sharron Angle sounds even better."

I would say that would be the sweetest.
Being a one-payckeck family, (living on a VERY shoe-string budget) did not have money to send to any campaigns this year - but used a few months worth of gun range-budgeted money to send to Sharon Angle.
We have been praying for her mightily here in Konnecticut.

Local polls, Massachusetts, very busy at 6:30. It’s going to be a zoo. Moochers don’t get up till noon, anyway.
