Connecticut Voting (Post Your Report Here)

Connecticut voters - post your experiences here

TOPICS: Activism/Chapters; US: Connecticut
KEYWORDS: 2010; 2010election; 2010midterms; connecticut; elections; vanity; voting
Voted at 8am at the local elementary school.

The parking lot was full. It was difficult to find a parking space. Cars were parked on the baseball field. But there was only a minor line to vote (2 people ahead of me).

I even caught myself thinking "wow, parking lot is full. There must be a huge line to vote. Maybe I'll come back later to vote". I found a spot to park and voted anyway.

Turns out the teachers were having a conference (no school today for students). I've been voting at this school for years and they've never had a conference on election day.

Showed my ID (as is required in Connecticut). The ballot had most of the democrat candidates listed twice (as Democrat and as Workers party). However republican candidates were listed at the top of the ballot.

There were no irregularities in the polling place, but I found the full parking lot to be unusual.

I wonder if we could get a DE thread like this going?

That's going to be a fun one to watch....

Anyone wearing WWE t-shirts? Linda’s husband was on tv last night with “Linda” bumper stickers all over the front of his shirt, and a big Blumenthal banner covering his rear end.

Our family of 5 voted together this morning. The parking lot was full but the lines were not bad inside. We had an anomaly because the dems kept the republicans off the ballot for state rep so ours had to go at the bottom as a petitioning candidate. There are normally enough to fill one side of the new fangled paper ballots (I loved the old diebold machines!!) but today there were three sides. I wonder how many people will forget to turn over one of the pages? And Martha Dean was on that side!

I wonder how many of the dumbbunnies here in CT will mark both lines? Also, how many of those votes will be counted twice?

BTW, the description of where you voted sounds a lot like my voting place. Are you in Middlesex County?

I voted before 7 this AM. When I pulled in the parking lot was almost full and I thought there would be a long line, as there was at that hour when I voted in another part of town. Nope, the place was jam-packed with poll workers and watchers—but hardly any voters.

MORE THAN A THUMPIN'

Obama says Dems are in trouble because Americans aren't thinking clearly. He's delusional. Time to put the federal beast back into its cage.

Forget the polls, forget the media spin. Go to the ballot box and put an end to the Dem Party. Throw this putrid congress out on their heads.

voted at 6:00 am in Greenwich - was #2 in line as the polls opened (SWMBO and I always walk to the polls on election day, it’s just over a mile each way). Fair turn out, several neighbors known to vote R, but nothing like the turnout in 2008.

More cars than usual in the lot.

Voted at about 6:50 this morning in Waterbury, at Blessed Sacrament School.

There were about 4 other folks in there voting at the same time. Plus about a dozen poll workers/watchers/counters.

I was the 27th person to cast my ballot at that location, per the counter on the only ballot scanner.

I submitted a report to the local republican poll watcher, regarding the parking spaces.

It was just too odd to ignore.

Voted at 06:45 in the middle school gymnasium. With about 12 people in line ahead of me I had to wait about 5 minutes to check in and get a ballot.

If I lived on a street name in the bottom of the alphabet there would have been no line at all.

My ID was checked as was the ID of everyone else I saw voting.

Voted, scanned and stickered I was back out within 10 minutes of when I started.

Typical turnout for my town at that time of day, maybe a little bit heavier than normal.

Whoa, same thing happened at the High School in Brookfield. Parking lot was very full (thought school was in session), no line but the number of cars in the lot did not reflect the amount of people in the voting place.

If you know someone who works for an insurance agency, you can get a list of the plates and have them run them to see who owns the cars.

Wife and I voted together, shortly before noon in Ledyard. Was relieved to see them requiring ID, not once but twice. I wore my "Worst President Ever" t-shirt and no one protested that :-)

Turn out was "busy" but not packed... the back up at the first ID check tended to stay about 5 or 6 deep during my time there.

Like others, I was surprised to see the unfair advantage Democrats had be being listed twice on the ballot, once on the Democrat party line and again on the "working Family" party line. Did a little poking around on that issue when I had the chance and apparently it's legal in CT, "cross endorsement" they call it... certainly an unfair practice but gives me a few ideas for 2012 :-)

Nothing out of the ordinary when the Mrs. and I went at noon. I was actually surprised it was so empty, no one else was there voting while we were there.

There’s still another name listed at our address, I’m assuming it’s a person that lived there sometime prior to us (wonder if they’ve voted in recent elections?) and has been on the list for 14+ years now that we’ve lived there. We tried to get it removed but was told by the SoS’s office that we couldn’t have the name removed, that person had to have their name removed.

As usual, the Dem and Green party sign holders were all toeing the 75’ line as we entered.

I don’t know what to make of it, though. The Dems have a sizeable registered voter advantage, I’m guessing suburban guilt, so it would take a majority of the Indy’s voting R to win it here. It’s far more interesting (read close) than I ever thought I’d see in CT!

Republicans could run under the

"Do It for the Children Party"
"Cute Puppies and Bunnies Party"
"Hitler Was Bad Party"

How about all three? possibly 4 or 5 more.
If this is all it takes, the number of signatures to put a party on the ballot are relatively easy, especially if it’s properly coordinated.

Since Obama uses a social security number that was issued by Connecticut to a person born in 1890, does that allow him the right to also vote there?

Obama should have obtained his own SSN in Hawaii when he worked at the Baskin-Robbins ice-cream shop in Oahu, in 1975.

If someone can clean up and decode the PDF417 barcode on the Obama tax return which is publicly available, then it should be possible to discover what SSN was used on the return.

Thanks! great tip. I never got around to researching "PDF417 barcodes" but it wasn't too hard to see the original image within the PDF file of Hussein's 2009 tax return (that was scratched out, and then electronically whited-out).

Hussein is STILL using his Connecticut identity-theft'ed SSN of 042-68-xxxx

I wonder why he can't use the one he should have gotten as a teenager, working at Baskin-Robbins while in high school in Hawaii?

2. Number 042-68-4425 that Mr. Obama used for most of his life and is currently using while residing in the White House, is a number assigned to an individual born in 1890, who resided in the state of Connecticut and this Social Security number was issued in the state of Connecticut where Mr. Obama never resided

Well now, it looks to me like pursuing Obamas illegally gained social security number issue may have less roadblocks and diversions.

We need us some good birther threads, I am curious to see just how much passion the Obot trolls have NOW.

Obama probably won’t return to the USA anytime soon, natter of fact I would not be surprised if he decides to defect, abscond or just plain flee America.

While he can.

SS#was not obtained legally unless he was living in Conn. at the time, perhaps staying with or visiting relatives. Maybe his mother’s co-wife’s family?

Why? ... Because he was legally an Indonesian citizen at that time, that’s why. What Barry the Bastard seeks to cover up proves he believes dual citizenship and using Indonesian citizenship disqualifies him as a natural born citizen. But of course his sycophantic worshipers don’t care because that’s part of that moldy old Constitution which they don’t believe in either.

Someone should get the SS-5 form for the number that was issued before his. That person is deceased ( Thomas Wood ), so it is available to anyone who requests it. That would show what day it was issued and approximately when it was applied for. If it was during the summer, then possibly he could have been staying with someone. But, if it was in the middle of the school year when he was in school in Hawaii - that is another story.

In one of the court pleadings to keep his records from the public Barry the Bastard—through his expensive attorneys—claimed to allow any of his records out would be an embarrassment to the man. And in democrat speak, exposing one or more felonies committed by this as yet unindicted criminal prick would be an embarrassment, nothing more, no affirmation of rule of law at all. This has reached the point that it is more than this criminal bastard soiling the Oval Office who should be indicted and tried, Nancy Pelosi and the entire complicit democrap party, including the Hawaiian criminals in the Department of Health and vital records should be indicted, tried, and sentenced to prison! But of course we know why this will never happen ...

In 1975 he turned 14 in August...

Assumming this was a summer job was he only 13 when he was working at Baskin Robbins ???

Was that legal for a kid of 13 even 14 to work in Hawaii at that time ???

For Barry to have a CT SS# he would have had to be living in CT as a legal resident when he got it or at least visiting...

Did Stan Ann live in CT then ???

Or Barrys grandparents ???

Maybe Dad Obama ???

He came back to Hawaii at age 10 to live with Stan Anns parents Stanley and Madelaine Durham...

Maybe they were on a visit to CT at one point..

Maybe its where you happen to be when you apply...

I have a NY SS# because that was where I was living when I did my Alien Registration Card etc paperwork but it could easily have been another state...

Is an SS# reused when someone dies ???

Maybe the guy born in 1890 was already dead when Barry got the number...

If he didnt get it until about 1970, the odds are the other chap was dead...

Id be more suspicious if the number was non-existant or belonging to someone still alive in 1975..

We dont know much about Barrys movements throughout his life...

He may have spent some time in CT etc

The number was issued in 1976-1977 to someone born in 1890. They were still alive when it was issued. Not all that unusual. If you look at the SS death index, a number that was issued just 12 away from the one Obama is using was issued to someone born in 1896, and one approx 800 numbers away was issued to someone born in 1890. SS numbers are never reissued.
