Post what you're seeing, hearing in your district, county or state during the day and evening- anecdotal or otherwise!
Voted in Volusia County, FL (Daytona Beach) about 15mins after the polls opened. Mostly older people in there; I was the youngest person by 30 years in there.
Voting was done with a paper ballot and black felt-tip pen, filling in circles. No hanging, dimpled, pimpled or pregnant chads here!
Went to the polls here in Blandon Pa (near Reading,Pa)around 8:00 a.m. Poll personnel told me that turn out since 7:00 a.m. had already been heavy. Voted straight R.
....let it be a SUCCESSFUL DAY for the Conservatives!!!
I voted. I’m glad today is election day and the campaigns are over. I’m SICK of them.
However, we must now start over immediately because we only have two years to identify, convince, run and elect more conservative Constitutionalists for the upcoming local, state and national seats.
We must win, the marxists must lose. Period.
OOOO this sure is early, so book mark!
Voted this morning and the line was unusually long. I live in CD NC-13 - Brad Miller’s district (ugh). Overheard a lady in front of me asking for the R slate of candidates since I had the sheet. She said she has always voted Dem but not this time! The more she talked the madder at Obama she got. I asked her if there are a lot of other Dems with her outlook this time around. She took my sheet and said “More than you realize.”
I took it as a good sign...
I live in a rural area in New York. I was there at 6 AM and there were 3 other voters there. I’m hoping Arcuri gets his walking papers today.
Voting in Georgia a bit later today. I’ll update then with my thoughts but rest assured the Republicans in this very red state will not let the nation down.
We do it “right”.
Gwinnett country, GA. Stron GOP district.
Got to poll at 7 AM just as voting was starting (which is when I usually vote). Line was already around the corner of the building. Longest line I’ve ever seen at this polling place this time of day (including presidential election years.)
Bottom line: not just heavy, but probably record turnout for this polling place.
Both scanners that scanned the encoded info on the back of driver’s licenses for identify verification was broken, so the verification info was being inupt manually.
That and the electronic voting machines that produce no paper or audit trail for the voter suddenly gave me a bad feeling.
We have the same “finish the arrow with a pencil” system and scanners in my small town.
Polls opened at 7:00 am, I was there at 7:15 and I was number 34 by the scanner. No problems with the scanner feeding and accepting my ballot. My wife was slower than me (she actually read the ballot; I just looked for the Republicans to vote for)—she was number 49. Voting volume was brisk, but not unusually so for my town (where people vote a lot more regularly than other places).
Voted VA-8 about 6:30. Very light, which is hopeful as this is the very blue Jim Moran district. Poll watchers were VERY good; had to produce photo ID, state my address, etc. Saw on the list that wife and I were the only ones listed at my address.
Cast my vote to retire Moran - for probably the 10th time.
Happy Election Day, FRiends! Happy 80th Birthday,
Can't. Too much chance of a nasty sex scandal. But good luck with that, if you do get elected!
Going out to vote with my 6 year old daughter. Might as well teach her what “straight party republican” means.
Americans across the nation are dumping tea into harbors, lakes, rivers, streams, creeks, ponds, and on farm fields in protest of the fascist Obama Regime's agenda.
Clinton is the Pope compared to me.
Florida should have a handle on fraud.
Democrats may never win there again.
BIG line at my Monkey County, MD polling place.
I’m next to you in Seminole County- we do it the same way and we put our ballot directly into the machine. If they ever change it I’ll move to over to Volusia!
National Review has a good twitter feed up. A GOP operative says Carly is neck and neck with Boxer...Whitman not so much.
Please PING YOUR UTAH LISTS
Fingies and toesies crossed...
I early voted on Friday last week (the last day in which to do so here in Houston Texas). It was PACKED like I have never seen it. There were approx 250-300 people waiting to vote. I stood in line for 2 hours before I got to vote. No one was leaving the lines either. Everyone stayed to vote!
THEN: HU HU HU! THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN ME, NOT YOU HALF-BLACK BARACK.
NOW: HU HU HU! MY SHARE OF LOOTS FROM HALF-BLACK BARACK WILL BE OVER.
Note, this is an overwhelmingly Republican county—but still! I was so glad to hear turnout sounds high!
THANKS TO EVERYONE FOR YOUR CAMPAIGN CONTRIBUTIONS, HELPING OUR CANDIDATES, HOLDING SIGNS AT RALLIES, TALKING WITH FRIENDS, SUPPORTING/PROMOTING CONSERVATIVE VIEWPOINTS, TEACHING YOUR CHILDREN THE TRUTH, WRITING YOUR REPRESENTATIVES, CALLING IN TO TALK SHOWS, SUPPORTING FREE REPUBLIC, WHATEVER YOU DID TO HELP!
I love Chris Baker! He broadcasts in Houston as well. :o)
Now would be a great time for a moderator to post instructions for users to change their settings to only display 25 or 50 posts per thread, and to avoid posting too many large pictures.
JimRob might also think about setting a fan next to the FR server to avoid it overheating. :)
I would hate to see FR slow to a crawl or crash later in the day when we are all trying to celebrate.
REMEMBER LEPANTO !!!
Bump for later - bed time for this bozo!
Going right NOW!
Good luck to all! VOTE, Vote, Vote and Vote. Don’t hold back, no matter how they try to convince you that enough will hit the polls so you don’t have to.
This is another lie and tactic to keep us home. Prove them WRONG!
Thank you. Moron is despicable but a permanent fixture thanks to deep blue Arlington. I'm a couple districts over in the 10th, and I cast my vote for Wolf today. I think he's pretty safe this year.
The local race I'm really watching is in the 11th. Go Fimian, go!
We're taking Ohio back!
If there’s ever a shot to get rid of Moran this is it. I live in Va 11th, but drive through Moran’s district often. Heard he was only up by 5 pts and there were 23% undecideds, in the past week. He normally wins with 68%. Hope springs eternal!
It’s raining where I’m at - that will keep a lot a dems home...
The wife and I just strolled over to our local polling place (2 blocks away) and arrived 15 minutes after they opened. It was busy, but there were only two people in line ahead of us. This district tends to be more conservative.
Same here.....Friday afternoon. 2.5 hours.
Concur. Moderator, plz request or ban photos and graphics - impossible for us with BlackBerry access - thanks
