Most voters say todays election is a referendum on President Obamas agenda and that he should change course if Republicans win control of the House. But most also dont expect him to make that change.
A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 52% of Likely U.S. Voters believe this election is more a referendum on the presidents agenda than about individual candidates and issues. Thirty-eight percent (38%) disagree and say the candidates and issues are paramount. (To see survey question wording, click here.)
Only 40% of voters think the president should continue to pursue the same agenda if Republicans gain control of the U.S. House of Representatives as many analysts predict. Fifty-six percent (56%) say Obama should change course in response to the election results.
However, two-out-of-three voters (66%) expect the president not to change but instead to continue to pursue his same agenda if Republicans win control of Congress. Nineteen percent (19%) believe he will change course, but 15% more are not sure.

I'd like to think it's more of a RESTRAINING ORDER!!!
Obango won’t change a damn thing. He’s up to his eyeballs in radical whack left ideology! What the hell were people thinking when they voted for this wing nut????
OMG!!! This should be breaking news!!!! (/sarc)
The other 48% are brain dead.
It’s all Bush’s fault!
It is understandable since part of our checks and balances is to have three equal branches of government and the current balance is not there.
Congress also has no Constitutional ideas so is simply a rubber stamp for the Executive Branch.
The current recession began when the democrat’s took over congress years ago. I’d say it is more of a issue for the poor speakers of the house and senate.
“However, two-out-of-three voters (66%) expect the president not to change...”
Because he’s not as smart as Clintoon was. And everyone knows he’s an elitist snob.
Good. That’s where I want him for 2012.
And 48 percent are imbeciles.
