MINNEAPOLIS -- The Republican Party of Minnesota says it has received multiple complaints about failing tabulation machines at polling places around the state.

A statement issued Tuesday says there are complaints about machines in Duluth, Olmsted County, Lakeville, Faribault, Mendota Heights and Eagan.

The party calls the situation "completely unacceptable" and blames Secretary of State Mark Ritchie for failing to prepare for the election.

Well, it’ll get “investigated” sometime... in a year or so from now.

The Secretary of State in WI must be a Dem. “What matters is who counts the votes.”

Does this mean that all those votes get thrown out if the voting machines are wonky?

do they have to have another election day?

I am glad the Repubs are on this one, at least.

To the contrary, Mark Ritchie (from Soros' radical Secretary of State Project) was quite well prepared. Consider what he did in 2008.

They were unacceptable last time, but we still see Franken insulting our Senate (not as its politically configured) by his very presence.

Excerpt:

Years of leftist planning and effort came together in Minnesota in 2008, where the nation's closest statewide contest pitted Democrat Al Franken against Republican incumbent Senator Norm Coleman. Presiding over the election was SOSP Secretary Mark Ritchie, whose extensive ties to ACORN were predictably ignored by the media. Shortly before the election, Ritchie was asked to investigate serious problems with the registration rolls, including 261,000 duplicates and 63,000 voters who had listed non-existent addresses. He dismissed the request as an attempt "to create a cloud over an election so people don't accept the outcome." After the polls closed, Secretary Ritchie reported that his office "received no reports whatsoever" of fraudulent voting.

The final tally showed Coleman with a narrow 725-vote victory. It wasn't enough. Over the next four days, his lead fell to 221 as officials "discovered" errors in the vote. Most came from three small precincts controlled by Democrats. Other irregularities included "misplaced" ballots turning up in an official's trunk, and vote total adjustments that affected only the Senate race. The manipulation continued during the official recount, as the Minnesota Canvassing Board detected just enough "ballot errors" to put Franken over the top. John Lott later analyzed the Board's inconsistent decisions, nearly all of which favored the Democratic candidate.

Some 17,000 more ballots were counted in the Minnesota Senate election than there were recorded voters. Mark Ritchie had dismantled the state's ballot reconciliation program, which previously required voting districts to validate the number of votes cast against the number of ballots issued.  Outside investigators also found that 1,400 convicted felons had voted illegally.

The Secretary of State Project is supporting Ritchie once again in 2010, pleased with what the organization refers to as "a scrupulously fair and transparent election recount.

I did my part. I just voted against that Ritchie crook.

Hopefully, the majority did as well.

But, I must preface this by saying, this IS Minnesota, and this state DID vote Mondale for president in 1984. So there is that....

*sigh*

Frankly they should be put up against a wall along with anyone found taking part in voter fraud.

Not to worry SEIU and Acorn have boxes of ballots all marked for Democrats that will just be “found” just like when Franken stole the election.

Not if we find them first! I'd bet that fraudulent ballots make good kindling for a nice bonfire.

Earlier today, I read about voter fraud in Brainerd, MN. I do not know the area, but; Dems or anyone taking mentally challeged folks to the poll and telling them how to vote makes me ill if true.

I posted this on another thread. My thought is that beginning to count votes, before the polls close is like letting folks bet at a craps table after the dice have been rolled. It gives those looking to steal an election a better idea of how many votes they need to fabricate to win. With that in mind, I proposed the following changes to help combat the constant voter fraud that is "found votes".

1. No counting of votes, or even opening of sealed ballot boxes until 24 hours after the polls close.

2. Once vote counting begins, no additional votes are allowed into the count until an investigation is done as to why the votes were not turned in on time.

3. The “Found” ballot box remains sealed until the “chain of evidence” is established. If an honest mistake was made the person in charge of delivering the ballot box is barred from ever working in any part of the elections process. If criminal intent is discovered, the person in charge of delivering the ballot box is barred from ever working in any part of the elections process, and spends 10 years in the federal prison system.

4. In either case, all “found” votes are investigated for validity and legality, and only those votes that are valid and legal will be allowed to count towards the vote tally.

No, we have paper ballots that you fill in the dot for. If the ballot is not scanned it can be scanned once the machine is working. Many heavy dem areas have no republican judges though. So theres nothing to stop them from forgetting to scan ballots with republican votes. Most of the areas listed tend to be dem strong holds.

It’s official. After electing Mr. Conspiracy, Jesse Ventura for Governor and allowing Al Franken to steal his Senate seat and then this, it looks like MINNESOTA IS NOW A BANANA REPUBLIC.

Yes blatant voter fraud is “completely unacceptable” but the GOP will do nothing about it.
