What is really REALLY scary is that he garnered 28 % of the vote. Thousands voted for him.
From the U.S. Census Bureau, South Carolina population for 2009:
Black persons, percent, 2009 (a) 28.2%

We're really going to miss this guy.
He got 28000 votes for the same reason he won the primary: his name is Al Green, and a lot of dumbass-Americans assumed it was that Al Green.

Did anyone read the comments on the links page? Some lefty had to remark the reason Greene was on the ballot because people couldn’t stomach “Dimwit” which I am assuming is an insult to DeMint. So I ask are these Democrats really so stupid they would rather have a retard than a conservative? That is off the chain type of nuts if you ask me.

It’s a racist thing. See upthread. Greene took 28 percent of the votes. Black’s comprise 28 percent of the population. They would sooner vote for a retard (so long as he’s Black) than vote for a legitimate candidate.

If you think this guy was bad, my district in Texas had two choices for the House: Pete Olsen, the incumbant republican and Kesha Rogers, a Lyndon LaRouchie who claimed to be a democrat. Her posters all over the district had the hitler mustached Obama with IMPEACH Obama all over the poster! Her cult like supporters manned tables all over the place pushing handouts about colonizing the Moon and Mars. This woman still managed to get over 30,000 votes! The dems in this district really had no one to vote for and had to vote for a woman who openly opposes their savior!

I think he would have gotten at least 4 people if he would have advertised it as a “free food” event.

I’ve got $100 that says it was the same thousands that voted for Zero because of his skin color and voted for Greene for the very same reason. Very scary and a sad commentary on parts of our population.

This shows the racism and where it exists in South Carolina. The vote in lock step mentality has created a disease in the Democrat Party and there are plenty on minds that are still wasting.
To: Responsibility2nd
There were 3 or 4 districts where this guy got 60%+ of the vote.
Seriously.

Dems in SC are not that bad.
I say whomever the 30% that voted for this idiot need to be de-franchised, they haven’t enough sense to come out of the rain, much less vote. Probably will not be difficult to ID em.

I guess that figure includes children, which means a lot of white folks voted for him too.

Man, that's a lot of work! I just want a comic written and produced by a crazy man.
I could write and draw it myself, but it would stink. I'm not crazy enough. Crazy people can draw.

How the heck do you apply 'about' to 'two'? Could've been two and a half, two and three quarters - hard to tell with all that cricket noise?
