What I expect from the GOP now (vanity post)

Posted on 11/03/2010 10:45:08 AM PDT by USALiberty

1) Use ALL the power of the Congress to investigate everyone and everything in the administration of the Kenyan Usurper -- starting with a subpoena demanding the birth records of Barry. That should start on DAY ONE!

2) Stop Obamacare. Shut down government if that is what it takes. And not for just a few weeks. We should be prepared for a shut-down of a year or more -- maybe two years.

3) End Social Security as we know it. Privatize it -- aggressively.

4) Fix the 14th Amendment. "Birth right" citizenship should end ASAP.

5) KILL cap and tax and then go after the rest of the enviro-nut agenda. The EPA should be de-funded, as a sign that we are serious.

6) Roll back government regulation on business wherever we can -- especially in the financial sector.

7) De-fund welfare and stop extending unemployment payments. Make people WORK if they want to make a living.

Good luck getting Harry Reid to support all of that.

It would be the Democrats who shut the government down because the GOP will control the House, where the budget originates.

The president has the veto pen.  Civics 101.

I think you might want to scale back your expectations.

Stop 0bamacare. That' for sure.

Investigations should start with Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, Chris Dodd, Barney Frank, Thomas E. Donilon, etc. I have no doubt that the Dims saw something coming and did nothing about it. Some people need to go to jail.

Obama choice helped Fannie block oversight

Dear Santa...

I’ve been very good this year.

1) I agree. If a GOP House won’t work to uphold the Constitution, then our nation is doomed. I will go further and ask them to start putting teeth into the 9th and 10th Amendments, too.

2) I think it would be wiser to rephrase this as “amend Obamacare.” Certain aspects, such as covering pre-existing conditions, and allowing children to be retained on their parents’ plan through college years, are popular. Don’t shut down government — there’s no need (Obamacare can be defunded), and the GOP was demonized for doing so during the Clinton administration.

3) Offer a privitization option for Social Security for the young. Start offering personal finance and personal investment classes in high schools. Think like a progressive — with contentious issues, start small.

4) The 14th Amendment, within the context of published Congressional intent, is fine — the implementing laws and regulations need to be fixed.

5) Investigate the entire anthropogenic global warming carbon dioxide catastrophe scam — shining light on it will kill it, as it does with any other anaerobic germ.

6) Quit giving government money to those who can’t afford to pay it back to buy houses so everyone else’s housing prices are bubbled up. Quit trying to prop up those who are unproppable.

7) If welfare has expanded since the Clinton-era reform, go back to that.

8) Scrap the Dept. of Education.

9) Scrap the Dept. of Energy.

Democrats want us to cut Social Security. Then they go back to the majority.

these also need to be top priorities:

voter ID check
purging invalid voters from the rolls
other anti-voter-fraud measures....

You’ll never see the Republicans seal the border, deport illegals, or reduce immigration regardless of how some talk. It is a talking point to get votes but it will never ever happen. Rove kicked Tancredo out of the White House.

We know the Democrats would pass amnesty in an instant, but it was Reagan that actually once did it. Eisenhower stopped it but that was before K St and corporations and special interests controlled Congress.

The US Chamber of Commerce owns the GOP and wants cheap labor and they want us paying for it. If the borders weren’t sealed and illegal immigrants deported after 9-11, it will never be done by Republicans. The status quo will continue because that’s what business wants.

If it was up to me I’d make some big time publicized examples of CEOs/ owners that hire illegals and charge them with treason, sedition. I’ll guarantee from that point on illegals won’t be employed and they will then go home.
