Look at her wikipedia entry. She has exactly one thing in her background that indicated why she was worthy of support—she is a Christian.

That’s it. After endlessly and properly talking about Barack Obama having no qualifications for his job, we were supporting this shallow, uninformed person (her interviews showed she had no grasp of policy, none) who can’t pay her bills, is being sued for financial irregularities, sued a conservative organization because she didn’t get a promotion, hasn’t paid her staff, uses campaign money to pay her rent, and has accomplished NOTHING that leads one to think she could run a 7-11.

I’ve been saying this for a day, and I have no problem criticizing her now that the election is over. She was a horrible candidate who has no business thinking she is qualified for the senate just because she has nothing else going on in her life. And we have no business supporting such an empty candidate when we’re always going on about how we’re different from the dems, we have standards.

You’re right, she came across as a young kid, and whined about Karl Rove. I look at Palin, and Bachman, and Kelly Ayote—accomplished, smart, articulate women who are starting to forge a new public identity for this party, and then I look at O’Donnell.

Forget what Karl Rove said on one TV show—I blame O’Donnell, whose foolishness provided HUNDREDS of hours of television mockery of Republicans.

I think it can be argued that she did a lot more damage than Rove by being a constant reminder of media cliches about conservatives. Are any of those bitching about Rove have the intellectual honesty to consider that she may have cost us control of the senate?

Blame the victim, Darkwolf377?
Every single week, Gov. Palin and C. ODonnell took on Obama and the corrupt DNC.
Meanwhile, Rove attacked the GOP-election-chosen candidate.

She would have been Senator TODAY (not January 2011)
had not backstabber Rove attacked.

Just so, if the Tea Party and those aligned with it want to be a long-lasting movement that is taken seriously as a political force, it must act like a serious political force. Miss “I am you” O’Donnell was a profoundly unserious candidate whose incompetence and superciliousness reflected very poorly on the group that was credited with her primary success. It may be painful to admit a mistake after the fact but the Tea Party must recognize that this was a mistake and endeavor to make better decisions in the future. Too many more unforced errors along these lines will lead to the quick marginalization of this movement and it will be consigned to the dust bin of history along with the all but forgotten “Reform” party. Please people, this is too important.

Well said.

There is one FR meme I hope is now dead, dead, dead.

"So what if (candidate) has a dodgy background?? (Candidate) is as well qualified as Obama, and he's President!!"

Conservatives who are clearly serious thinkers and who have a serious resume, with no major baggage, WON.

Conservatives who did not clear those bars, LOST.

The LSM is always going to give conservatives those higher bars to clear. Do I like that? Hell no, but it is a fact of life. We need to accept that fact and run candidates who can clear them.

Now wait just a minute!
Wasn’t COD the Senate nominee of delaware Republicans in 2008?
How did she become so unqualified?
Castle wouldn’t have won even if the nominee.
If he had we Reps still wouldn’t have won Senate control.
Rep running for House in Del also lost.

Why are you siding with MSM in trashing TEAparty?

HELLO??

You are a 100% correct. It is baffling to me that the same people who complained about Obama’s lack of experience can attach themselves to someone like O’Donnell. Rove had nothing to do with the lose of the seat; it was the inexperienced, unqualified, empty suit with a pretty face that was the problem.

What is scary to me is that so many people can either turn a blind eye to something like this, or can’t realize how hypocritical they are. God help us if people like O’Donnell are the best we have to offer.

People need to take of the blinders every once in a while. Whenever I think I am going overboard on something I just ask myself, what would I think of this person or a persons actions if they had a “D” behind their name instead of a “R”.

Who, in their right mind, turns to wikipedia when they're looking for information on conservative candidates? Universities don't allow wiki as a source for research papers.

Manipulative liberals use wiki. It's an anti-conservative biased source. If you're looking for something to do with the periodic table of the elements, it's a safe source. If you're looking for information on a candidate, I'd prefer The Magic Eight Ball.

Now run along and play. The adults need to get to work mopping up after messy RINOs.
