Obama took the TOTUS on several travelling road shows to sell his agenda (Obamacare, Stimulus package) and gave speech after speech on the tube. The trouble was the more he sold the more the people said we aint buying. The public support was dropping so fast he gave up. His salemanship was a negative factor. So it had nothing to do failing to sell and everything to do with the fact we don’t want what he’s selling.
I thought communications was his strength. Now he tells us it’s his weakness? Does he have ANY strengths?
I think the dufus really believes this.

This is proof Obama far more blind about the political realities of his policies than Bill Clinton after the 1994 elections. That will make him much easier to beat in 2012.

I read the bills. Zero’s failure was his inability to lie better to hide the REAL intent of the Progressives coup.
He tried to communicate the DNC’s vision of an American version of European socialism with a massive Federal organ, and I do mean organ, to probe every aspect of business and private life with intrusions and “attitude adjustments” made in the psyche of every citizen.
I read the bills. So did many others who came armed with them to the now defunct TownHall fiasco.

Poor Obambi - he’s not getting the reaction that he wanted from the public. He thought that they’d agree with all his policies just like his students did (at least those that wanted an “A” in his class).
Fact is, he sold and sold and sold, and the public did not want to buy. His products are all flawed, and only those that are getting them at someone else’s expense stand a chance of wanting what he offers. But even some of the freeloaders know that most of what Obambi has proposed would serve only to bite the hand that feeds them.
Seems the dems want to apply legislative viagra to the federal organ, whereas the people want to give it the "Lorena Bobbit" treatment.

There was no problem at all with the skills of the salesman (Obama) or understanding what he had to sell.
It was the product, the snake-oil, that was rejected. Kerry couldn’t have sold it, Billary couldn’t have sold it, none of them could have - it was what it was; the invasion of the Federal government into the lives and the economy of the people.

If you can’t articulate your product in a way that is meaningful to your base then maybe it’s the product that sucks.

A large multinational dog food company decided to come out with the latest and greatest dog food. They had their research scientists design the most nutritious combination of ingredients, containing all the essential vitamins and amino acids required by dogs. They had the marketing department put together a most colorful advertisement and a catchy jingo was thought up for their TV commercial.
And they spent gobs of money on TV advertising and splashy full page magazine ads. The engineers designed equipment to make this dog food in the most efficient manner, and the packaging department designed a beautiful box for it. The sales force was trained, and every supermarket chain had shelf space devoted to the dog food.
It did not sell.
So the company CEO gathered his top executives together to have a meeting to discover why. He asked each department “Why isn’t our dog food selling?” The research department said there couldn’t possibly be anything wrong with their formulation. Marketing was completely stumped. The sales force was mystified. No one had a clue as to what was wrong.
Finally, after a long pause, a new employee sitting in the back of the room finally got the courage to say “But the dogs don’t like it!”

You make a good point that communication was supposed to be his greatest strength.
He probably really uses communication as the metric to evaluate himself, if he really ever does any sort of self-evaluation, which is highly doubtful. He doesn’t seem to have any other standard by which he thinks he can be measured.
The only people left supporting him are either incredibly gullible, incredibly stupid or true leftists who really do believe he is their Messiah. It must be interesting to be one of those people in his inner circle who have their own reputations now attached to this complete and utter poser who is now, as you pointed out a failure at the one thing he was supposed to be good at even with the teleprompter and all the additional aid it gives him.
