"Frankening an election"

Occurs when, several hours or days after an election has ended and ballots have been tallied and votes have been counted and the probability is high that the liberal/Democrat candidate has lost his/her bid for election/re-election, a HUGH bag of 'uncounted' ballots/votes are found *suddenly* "in the back seat or trunk of a car", generally belonging to a liberal/Democrat polling place employee--the name of this election-stealing technique arises from the suspicious incident in the 2008 campaign between Al Franken and Norm Coleman in the state of Minnesota.

It’s time for a “CHAIN OF EVIDENCE “ style handlig of ballots.

Interestily since the old padlocked ballot box has gone to the dustbin of Society, Fraud and corruption has increased. Maybe this illegal activity should be raised to Felony status?

Obvious attempt at voter fraud. Notice how the ol' "bag-o-ballots" only shows up when the race is really close?

Folks involved in perpetrating this should be risking prison time.

Any bag “found” later that is not on the Chain of Custody is simply not counted.

Absolutely! I would have said the ballots need to be destroyed before the lawyers showed up; but the more I think about it, these are evidence of a potential crime - at least criminal negligence. Somebody lost control of them or created them.

This is one GD thing I DEMAND that the new republican majority do — crack down on voter fraud. Send some people to prison. They’ll clean up their act, if they know they face severe consequences. And frankly, there are not many crimes more serious than this. Election fraud is akin to sedition and treason because it undermines the whole country.

At the federal level, if the congress rejects certain winning candidates because of election irregularities, that will get their attention too.

Right! And the precursors to this are “we don’t have enough ballots” (because we diverted 15,000), and “we must stay open late” (to vote the no-shows and generate enough votes to win, which they learn from broadcast news).

I hereby announce a competition - no prizes will be awarded. Please list every case where a bag (or whatever) of ballot papers was found, whether it changed the eventual winner and if so, in which direction, and then list the indictment, the verdict, and the sentence.

We have this silly Need to know immediately. I say wait until next day after everything is in for results.

I like your plan but it has as much chance of adoption as requiring ID to vote.

With 19 new GOP controlled legislatures, there has to be a new laws protecting the ballots. One way is to require that when the polls close, that at least two precict judges and members of law enforcement accompany the ballots (AT ALL TIMES) when they are processed, tallied, and reported. This will greatly reduce the occurances of ballots showing up in “bags” and car trunks.

Any ballots that just “show up” have to be disregarded. PERIOD

I work with computers, have been a computer security admin in the past, and probably know more about computers than 99% of the population.

Electronic voting machines are little more than voting fraud machines. Period.

Anyone (ANYONE) that attempts to tell you that an electronic system is secure is lying to your face (of an ignorant fool). Voter fraud will increase until we get back to a physical paper trail.

Physical systems can be backed up by data systems (in fact, duplicating the data between a physical item like a log book and an electronic system like a database will make fraud harder), but an all electronic system is a playground for people that want to commit fraud.

Republican officials were approached by Democratic operatives and told about the surprise ballot bag, according to Bridgeport GOP Chairman Marc Delmonico.

Gee, funny how that works. They weren't approached by state or local election officials to inform them of the additional ballots but instead were informed by the opposing political party. Go figure. I wonder at what point these same Democrat Party officials informed state and local election officials about the additional ballots.

I volunteered this last election as a Pol Watcher for the local Republican Party here. Although watching the entire process was with in my primary duties I paid focused attention on I.D. verification and the closing down and transfer of vote tallies to the main counting facility.

In South Carolina you must have one of only three forms of I.D. to be eligible to vote. They are a valid S.C. driver’s license, a state issued picture I.D. or a voter registration card for the precinct you are attempting to vote in.
It was amazing how many people tried to vote with electric or telephone bills or with out of state licenses or with voter cards from another district. I, along with a very cooperative Pol Clerk, allowed none of it and referred these people to the County Headquarters downtown per protocol as not to “disenfranchise” any one.

I also noted at the end of the polling hours the main focus of all of the paid pol workers was to get out of there as quickly as possible. This created some interesting scenarios that I wonder could be typical at other polling places:

The Pol Clerk, who’s in charge, (Pol Managers are the lower workers?) had to go and get his van, leaving all the ballot boxes and voting machines inside for several minutes unattended.

We were in a school gymnasium and had trouble finding the custodian to lock the doors at 7:00pm.

It seemed to be very chaotic in the hour it took to clean up, break down the tables and chairs and load up the voting boxes and machines. It also seemed as if any formal protocol was relaxed at best or non-existent at worst.

Lack of oversight at these precincts is only too encouraging for rats to scurry and infest.

J
