Blowback to the political donation is immediate, and shocking.
Statement from Phil Griffin, President of MSNBC:
I became aware of Keiths political contributions late last night. Mindful of NBC News policy and standards, I have suspended him indefinitely without pay.

Suspension without pay means that there’s a 99% probability of being fired. He does have a contract, so they can’t immediately fire him as he does have some recourse per his contract.
It’s not like it was a one-week suspension, rather indefinitely.

Bye Bye Keith!
Could not help yourself could you. Maybe CNN will pick you up.
To: careyb
Shouldn’t all of those folks be suspended?
To: careyb
Gimme a break.
MSNBC contributes tens of millions of dollars of TV time to the Democratic Party.
They pay Olbermann to editorialize in favor of the Democratic Party.
Now they suspend him for contributing a fraction of his MSNBC paycheck to the Democratic Party?
Get outta town!

Yep, it’s for real.
Suspended indefinitely for donations to three Democrats.
I guess MSNBC should have made the donations directly, like News Corp did.
And I wonder what the donations records are of *all* the cable anchors, from MSNBC to CNN to Fox.

Oblabbermann has already admitted he made these contributions, and one can only speculate how many other contribs he has made in the past via cash and checks to other candidates by other means.
All I can say on this occasion is, "hahahahaha!"
