Occasionally, political pundits get so wrapped up in their analysis that they don’t think through all of the implications of their commentary. That happened to Mark Penn, longtime Democratic pollster, in his appearance on Hardball last night, in the most charitable explanation possible. Eyeblast’s Joe Schoffstall clips this magic moment from the discussion with Chris Matthews on how disconnected Barack Obama has become from the American electorate, and what it will take for him to reconnect, using Bill Clinton as an example:

Certainly the term "middle eastern men" will be considered politically incorrect very soon by this administration and those charged with our protection (sarcasm). We, however, who might use such a term may likely be considered as the dangerous people.

Well, obama HAS an “Oklahoma moment” of a different sort.
The great State of Oklahoma passed a law barring the use of international law and sharia law in State court decisions. Now the islamic supremacist CAiR is suing Oklahoma for “discriminating” against muslims.
I see obama getting on the side of CAiR, not on the side of Oklahoma. So this “Oklahoma moment” will be of no help to him at all.
He knows it, most of the Democrats in Washington know it and, we know it along with millions of Americans that see through the Obama rhetoric about 'hope and change' while he does all he can to denigrate our country overseas and wreck our economy at home. No 'crisis' will change Obama, he'll just try to use it to expand government power. He'll never 'connect' with Americans again because the more they see/hear him and watch what he does - not just what he says - they can see he's no friend of theirs - and never was.

I heard Penn make that comment. Shocked at the very thought. He was pointing out that Clinton didn’t have the people on his side until the OKC Memorial.

Those crazy assholes. I had a dear friend die in the OKC bombing. I spent 4 sleepless nights helping prep food for the rescue workers. How dare they long for Americans to die so the big Zero can re-connect with the people? Damn everyone of them.
How would they feel if someone were to suggest that there was a way 0bama could make his legacy like JFK’s? That would be creepy and hateful. But it is ok to suggest the blowing up of unknown Americans for political purposes. Just damn.
