Unsurprisingly FNC easily won in primetime as well as the 5p-7pm period.  CNN pulled ahead of MSNBC but not nearly by the margins separating FNC and CNN.

8-11p ET MSNBC CNN FNC
P2+ 1,945,000 2,423,000 6,957,000

P2+ 869,000 945,000 3,092,000
25-54 256,000 283,000 750,000

Fox News average viewership (6.935 million) topped all the broadcast networks (ABC, CBS, NBC) coverage of the 2010 midterm elections head to head in the 10pm (Eastern) hour.

In the news advertiser target adults 25-54 demographic, NBC lead the 10pm hour, followed by Fox, ABC and CBS.

I watched the returns on Fox Business Channel. I love Neil Cavuto.

He is the best interviewer in the Fox stable. He also has the clout to bring a powerful array of high level executives and out of power personages to present several sides of issues. He is feared be cause many he asks don’t come. They know his questioning will expose weakness.

I would like to see his numbers vs MSNBC/CNN...... does your source have them?

Any channel surfers would have had a tough time switching away from Megyn Kelly.

He is by the way a 2012 Presidential candidate with a full blown agenda few can match :)

Lots of MSDNC viewers were just watching them cry. What a bunch of imbeciles.

When I got home from poll watching, I tuned in to FOX to get the real news and then flipped over to pmsnbc {just for grins} and watched them for 5-6 minutes {couldn't take any more.

All of the talking heads were there chrissy, oberwoman, odonnell, that ugly guy that's on at 9:00 PM, madcowski {or something like that}.

What a hoot, tears and whining and calling us stupid bigots.

Watching msnbc is like eating real sweet chocolate, a little is OK but too much and it's sickening.

Me too. I loved his low key style and one on one interviews with some excellent guests.

Yep, Cavuto is the best. There is a reason he calls his show Common Sense.

A nice job by Megyn Kelley who was rudely trashed by some FReepers on the live thread.

Can anyone explain what the “P2+” and the “25-54” in this article mean? Thanks in advance...

Re: Neil Cavuto He is by the way a 2012 Presidential candidate with a full blown agenda few can match :)

And he's got a Vice Presidential runningmate (Elizabeth MacDonald) who is both smart and gorgeous.

The thought occurred to me to switch over to MSNBC for a few minutes just to see how they were taking it. Couldn’t do it. It was just such a great, exciting night, I decided not to mar it with the faces of Matthews, Maddow, etc., and especially Lunatic O’Donnell. So, we hung in with Fox till 5am. (still recovering)

“Any channel surfers would have had a tough time switching away from Megyn Kelly.”

Hard to match her combination of brains and beauty. She knows her stuff and isn’t just coasting on her looks.

I am a Cavuto fan as well. He’s one of the very few money guys I trust.

“25-54” refers to that age group.

“P2+” is all viewers regardless of age...two and older.
