How tax cuts will be paid for? This is hilarious, like asking, if person cannot be robbed, how otherwise the person will pay the robber.

The highest calling of a “journalist” is to be a strong advocate.

The media whining because they are called out as ‘progressive activists’...LOL...what else is new?

Tax cuts never have to be “paid for”. That phrase was concocted somewhere over in the far left and has become part of the liberal lexicon.

Bingo. And I dont know why the Repubs never answer it this succinctly. They always hem and haw, allowing the premise to float.

Christie was very, very effective in this interview. While trying to determine why [policies or communicative skills] I think I have a theory.

One of the reasons he’s so effective is b/c he does not play PC games thereby preventing the left from using it against him.

So many others “try to say the right thing in the right way” and in doing so find themselves on defense.

Gov Christie just doesn’t care and so he says it like it is with no apology or softening intent. He can do that because he believes what he’s saying IMO.

A television pundit using that phrase is rapidly becoming the equivalent of wearing a sign saying "I'm a leftist".

I think liberals like that phrase because it implies that the government is going to take cash and send it to people when in reality it is merely confiscating less of the earnings of citizens. No "paying" involved on the government's part...it wasn't theirs to begin with.

Yeah, well, express support for him and see how many flames you get.

That was a particularly good rant that day. WHO THE HELL IS BO to decide who to punish with more taxes. I loved his entire premise and hope that we can get that kind of clarity in our elected officials.

The debate to remove Obama should continue too. The Republicans should continue to opose Obama’s destructive policies.

Leftists are never troubled by heaping entitlement programs on us that we can’t afford. Yet they’re outraged at the suggestion we should keep our own money. That is where I’ve felt for a long time, in spite of the big thinkers at National Review, that we need to abolish the income tax and replace it with a unified sales tax. If we got rid of the IRS, we’d all have more freedom and our money could be used in ways that could benefit our economy and help keep people off welfare. And as long as we tax them heavily, they will need government assistance to survive. That is the reality of our current statist environment.

This is exactly what happens when we DUMP the RINOs. You know, the guys the corrupt MSM love to put on their shows with 5 other liberals to demonstrate "bipartisanship".

Have you noticed how much airtime David Stockman has gotten recently?

NO MORE RINOs.

We no longer accept the basis of the corrupt advocate MSM. The game has changed!

Go Christie. The conservative calvary is coming!

The trouble is with his supporters wanting to elevate him to the presidency given his liberal side, not that he’s not great to have in the party, one of our best spokesmen, and a godsend for NJ.

The only time Commiecrats are fiscally responsible about the deficit is when they want to raise taxes. Great for Christie for calling this DNC activist out.

“That’s not fair. I’m not advocating."

Christie is masterful when it comes to confronting people this way. He doesn't get rattled, he doesn't go overboard, but he doesn't shrink from what he knows is right, either. I cringe when most Republicans struggle in these situations, because they WANT to be forceful but they seem to think anyone can do it properly.

That's not true. Public debate is a talent, and if you don't have a knack for it you have to practice and practice.

Christie isn't just spouting things like 'You shill for the dems" or whatever, he focused on one comment and explained specifically what he disagreed with. Gregory is obviously rattled, because he IS trained for this kind of thing, and isn't used to someone who is as skilled or moreso on this level.

A lot of Republicans should take heed. They need to understand that, fair or not, they often look silly when they respond this way, and to gain traction on the air, they have to develop the skills to take on advocacy journalism where it lives.

Gregory interrupted: “That’s not fair!"

Dead give-away - - liberal Democrat.

"I’m not advocating. I’m questioning whether or not they have to be paid for.”

There's that liberal Democrat template - - people keeping their own money is something big government has to "pay for". See, it is always more important for big government to have our money than it is for us to have our money.

It's good to see Christie slap down this little weasel Gregory.

I’m all for raising the top marginal income tax rate on leftists David Gregory and his wife Beth Wilkinson back to 91% as it was in 1963.

WITHOUT any tax loopholes or deductions.

We’re not, we’re not trying to push financial reform because we begrudge success that’s fairly earned. I mean, I do think at a certain point you’ve made enough money. But, you know, part of the American way is, you know, you can just keep on making it if you’re providing a good product or providing good service. We don’t want people to stop, ah, fulfilling the core responsibilities of the financial system to help grow our economy. ---Lord 0bamao

Quit whining. Someone disagreed with you. Does that mean as you contend that here on FR Christie is considered a rino? You have some seriously thin skin if you believe that. For the record, I am a Christie supporter who hangs out here on FR. I am willing to bet that there is one or two more.
