US Defense Secretary Robert Gates rejected Israeli prime minister's call for a 'credible military threat' against Iran to ensure it does not obtain nuclear arsenal. However, he suggested that military action still remains an option.
The defense secretary, who is in Australia, told reporters on Monday that the United States disagrees that only a credible military threat can get Iran to take the actions it needs to end its nuclear weapons programme.
"We are prepared to do what is necessary but at this point we continue to believe that the political-economic approach that we taking is in fact having an impact in Iran," he said.

If the political impact Obama is looking for regarding a nuclear armed Iran, means in fact to allow them to build a few hundred weapons for the glory of Islam, then yes the policy is working.
Ya think?
Gates is a pussy.
Gates is too busy right now to EVEN think about Iran. He’s more pressing matters you know. He has to get this queers in the military thingee taken care of.
He’ll think about Iran down the road. /s
Fire Gates and the rest of the obamanites in the pentagon.
Gates used to be some sort of man, but Obama has succeeded in neautering him.
Now he is nothing.
Calling for an end to DADT, cowardly in denial about Irans intentions, wanting to cut the military.
He is little more than a yes man for Hussein Obama.
The grand ghazi from the White House is toooooo busy arming his allies , hamas and the Pakis under his muslim outreach program.
One day? The only democracy in the mideast will face an all out assault, funded by the grand ghazi.
What a fool.
When lefties talk about Palestinians and “root causes” and “grievances” and the like, give them a pop-quiz: (1) What percentage of Palestinians are Christian? A: About 25%. (2) All else being equal, what percentage of Palestinian suicide bombers would one expect to be Christian? A: Approximately 25%. (3) What percentage of Palestinian suicide bombers are Christian? A: About 0% (4) The problem is a Palestinian problem or a radical muslim problem? A: ???

This isn’t even about initiating any actual military action.
This is just about issuing a threat that may make even the fanatics in Iran stop and think and worry- even if for only seconds.
Our Kumbaya President can’t even issue a statement that would worry our real enemies. His only enemies are not those that are irrational, hate us and are a danger to us.
His only enemies- are Americans who don’t sit quietly and swallow his domestic destruction.
I think the Prime Minister just delivered the final warning to the Obami. Either the US moves, or Israel will. Now we know what the answer from King Hussein will be.

So much for all options on the table.
Some options are on the table, I presume.
I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction.
