The Southern Poverty Law Center has produced a video, “’Sovereign Citizens’ and Law Enforcement: Understanding the Threat,” warning police that traffic stops involving “right wing” citizens could end up as deadly encounters. I’ve embedded it in the sidebar video player. Go ahead and watch it before reading on.
There’s no question the officers were murdered. The question is, do we blame an ideology or the individuals who committed the act? And if the former is a factor, what responsible actions have the finger-pointers taken to limit the blame to a narrow spectrum of violence initiation advocates—as opposed to conflating their beliefs and actions with those of the broader liberty movement?
With SPLC, the answer is obvious, and the connect-the-dots exploitation/obfuscation kicks into gear once retired ATF Special Agent in Charge James Cavanaugh begins his narration, as the “sovereign citizen” incident transitions seamlessly to the Oklahoma City bombing to Ruby Ridge to Waco.
This fits nicely with a strategy we’ve seen unfolding to portray Constitutionalists as anti-government “hatriots.” We’ve seen SPLC do this ad nauseum with Oath Keepers and gun rights advocates . And what’s chilling is, we’ve seen the Department of Homeland Security pick up on their talking points and we’ve seen them implemented by federal and local law enforcement agencies.
What this video does is intentionally widens the “us vs. them” divide between citizens and police, heightens the paranoia, and makes the most innocuous of encounters much more dangerous. Now, thanks to SPLC, something as simple as having a political bumper sticker on your car, supposedly protected speech, takes a heightened alert situation and urges police to view non-leftist political sentiment as a potentially lethal personal threat. Because with all the conflation, what message will be enough to trigger a protective reaction?

Over the past year I’ve been to two tea parties and a health care protest. At the health care protest there were a dozen cops and a whole bunch of bussed in SEIU/ACORN clowns. The police were facing the leftists and had their backs turned to the conservatives. The only time the police came to our side of the road was to take out their earplugs and relax for a few minutes.
At the first tea party I went to there were a couple of cops directing traffic at the road. At the second tea party there weren’t any police to be seen.
Another Communist Front Group (ACFG) seeking all those funds that are out there because of ACORN’s “bankruptcy”. SPLC has long sent propaganda and enemy lists law enforcement and intelligence groups. They have always inferred that they had close ties to the government and were providing this information with the full endorsement of the feds. Aside from the administrators who lived to be politically correct, the rank and file usually saw these professional agitators for who they are.
These idiots don’t want us “profiling” Islamic Terrorists, or illegal immigrants.......

I believe most officers would see this video and not understand how a subtle wedge is being driven between them and conservatives
worse than that mark, i bet the SPLC/batFAGs are banking on the fact that they now have the 'numbers' on their side, of young, roided, and shallow-rooted 'law' enforcement occifers to do their bidding of provoking the confrontations...

The SPLC is a scam, and a dangerous one. Whenever you read a media infobit on their “research” into various “hate” groups, remember these are the same people churning out the same disinformation about YOU.
Ann Coulter pointed out that almost any group; if not explicitly set up to be conservative, will almost always devolve into a leftist group.
A Conservative dies and sets up a billion dollar benefit program for academics. If not specific enough, they end up funding Womyns studies, Postmodernism, Culture studies (i.e. anti-Americanism/Communism), etc - giving scholarships exclusively to committed leftists, etc.

However, in real life we do know that many mental deficients, racists and the terminally stupid self identify themselves by sporting OBAMA stickers on their vehicles.
People that think this kind of stuff is an anomaly or just fringe are fooling themselves. The SPLC, Tim Wise and many others are integrated into our government at all levels, media, academia and many/most of our institutions. If we don’t stand up and recognize the real dangers these anti- white, anti-Western, anti-American groups present we will surely be destroyed.
The Leftist Oppressives want to restrict people on the “watch-lists” from being able to defend themselves.
And the Leftist Oppressives want to paint anyone that is conservative as a potential person to be “Watched”.
Does it have to be spelled out any clearer than that?
The last tea party I attended was 8-10K people. The only problem was caused by some leftist shill. (the reason why I know he was a leftist shill is that the news gave him more coverage than the other 10K people at the tea party, but I digress....)
He wore some sort of a Klan hood and went up beside the stage and started shouting something about racism. He was promptly ignored.
When no one would pay attention to him, he took of his hood and shoved the nearest police officer. Cop basically was like, "OK, if you really, really want to get arrested, I'll oblige you." and carted him off.
As a side note, there was a cop standing next to me shortly after the incident. He was in a pretty good mood, more watching the girls than anything else, so I commented something like "you know that guy wasn't with us, right?"
He just said "This is easy duty", then winked at me and showed me the Gasden "Don't Tread on Me" button, pinned on the inside of his vest. :-)
The SPLC is a dangerously anti-Christian, anti-American, extremist hate group financed by tax money and domestic enemies of the Constitution.
