Do a search for your state’s name and “state Militia” I would be surprised if you do not come up with something............................................. Yup! here is what I found on one of the sites.

“An estimated 440 militia groups exist nationwide, with Florida having one of the largest concentrations of them and white supremacy groups, Akins said. He identified 77 militias in the state, ranging in size from five to 30 members, along with 21 Ku Klux Klan and eight Nazi or skinhead’ groups.”

Being retire military, I know logistics win wars. IMO, these type groups would be nothing more than a nuisance to a trained military. I’d like to see them in uniform, and I wonder how many would pass AR 600-5(?). There was a time when we had many veterans who could be recalled to form real fighting units, but that time has passed.

I think you would be surprised by some militias capability. I know of one that could easily stall a Marine weapons company for the best part of a day and take few if any causalities. These guys are all ex-SpecOps and practice a lot.Attack and evade with lessons learned in Iraq and Afcrapistan is very effective. That said it does get down to ROE’s.
