Dick Cheney's new implanta ventricular assist deviceneeded 'cause his heart is screwed, "leaves most recipients without a pulse because it pushes blood continuously instead of mimicking the heart's own pulsatile beat."

Were he to die, his IQ would reduce to only 10x of Obama’s.

Kinda interesting. Apropos of nothing, it reminds me of a guy I know who was born with some complications at birth, needed surgery, and ended up having the blood vessels on one side of his neck rerouted in some way. As a result, he has no pulse on that side. He's fine now, but when he played college sports, he had to keep a note on file that in the event he was ever knocked unconscious, the paramedics needed to take his pulse on the other side... so they wouldn't accidentally pronounce him dead.

If he were to die, his body temperature would remain above Obama’s IQ. It would be debatable if he would still have more brain activity. And he would still be the only one with a valid U. S. birth or death certificate.
We don’t exactly know how, but Obama just happens.

I feel terribly sorry for Vice President Cheney that he required this device, it must have been a drastic situation for them to take this route. He has been a model of perseverance and bravery for all suffering from chronic illnesses.

I had a baby on Dick Cheney’s birthday. I think it was Vlad, January 30? Anyway, I sent Mr. Cheney a birthday card and a picture of little Vlad, and I got a nice note back about how much he and Lynne liked babies, and what a good day it was to be born upon.
He’s my favorite politician ever.

Sometimes the top guys have a sense of personal bravery ~ when Cheney agreed to this hookup it reminded me of Hubert Humphrey serving as an experimental testbed for several procedures and drugs related to bladder cancer.
Actually, over the years we've all noticed people we might not have even liked demonstrating a rather casual disregard for personal safety in a quite dangerous situation.
There are libraries of books about the topic. The discussions go all the way back to the invention of writing.
We judge people on this issue.

What I've heard around town (WarshDC) is NO. Doesn't mean he's not, but this device has been used extensively in candidates for transplants ~ usually a month or so before the event.
Apparently it's better at its job than they'd imagine so it is now being touted as the main attraction.
