Not that Obama doesn't appreciate the sacrifices of veterans. He absolutely does. Just ask the Indonesians.
He was in Jakarta for their Heroes Day this week to honor their veterans "who have sacrificed on behalf of this great country."
"This great country," of course, being Indonesia.
"When my stepfather was a boy, he watched his own father and older brother leave home to fight and die in the struggle for Indonesian independence," Obama told the audience.
And the White House wonders why so many people think there is something foreign about this guy.

In the same speech, Obama gave voice to a harsh criticism he has heard about freely elected governments.
"Today, we sometimes hear that democracy stands in the way of economic progress," he said.
The shocking statement raises the question: Where has Obama heard this fatuous claim and with whom has he been talking politics?
Of course. He’s in another country visiting his Muslim brothers. Probably won’t lay a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldiers at Arlington. Which is best — he’s as out of place there as a turd in a punchbowl.
South Korea praising the troops - just not in Arlington - again!
Excellent analysis of Obama's genuine socialist purpose; read "Radical in Chief", Stanley Kurtz. Obama's deliberate madness and evil transformation of America proceeding according to his plan.
Obama is every bit as American as nasi uduk.
No. I don’t “know where” the usurper is. I do know where my Father, who fought in WWll, Korea and Vietnam is and he’s resting in peace. I’d like to take this opportunity to thank the kenyan for NOT going to Arlington Nat’l.
Sounds as though our phony president has been confabbing with the Chi-Coms about the glories of a “planned economy.” What a disgrace he has been on this trip!
Thank God almighty Barry is NOT spoiling Arlington with his shadow!
I don’t know where the resident is, but I just put my flag out! It’s a good day to thank a soldier, Marine, sailor, or pilot for their service. The one I want to thank the most is no longer with us, having passed on after living a long life.
Sgt Ray T., thank you!!
Like you, I thank the President for not contaminating Arlington with his presence.
Most American presidents and politicians (who can) point with pride at their father/grandfather/relatives who served America in the past. And, then we have Obama, this man of questionable heritage and country. A man who honors his step-father for serving Indonesia - the country Barack is most fond of, and...as it is believed, where he is still a citizen since he has never disavowed his Indonesian citizenship.
It is no wonder he places no importance or significance on American holidays and memorials. It would be interesting to find out if, before being elected, he ever celebrated any American commemoration at all. We all know it took him a while to learn to place his hand over his heart when the American National Anthem was being played. I am sure doing that was totally new to him.
Barack Obama makes me sick!!!!!!!!!
Did he go last year?
Unfortunatly his personal idiot Joe Biden is going in his place. It would be best if both were not there and the service left to American patriots.
Impeach and remove the commie, muslim bastid !!
At least Google remembered.
Count, cadence, count
