Using the excuse of "gay youth suicides" reported in other states, schools in Massachusetts are intensifying their propaganda to portray homosexuality as a positive, natural, and irreversible behavior for kids to engage in -- and at the same time stigmatize any criticism of homosexuality as dangerous and even a sign of mental illness.
On October 21, a group of seven homosexual teachers at Concord-Carlisle High School led an afternoon assembly describing to students how they "came out" as homosexuals, and how "their lives have improved as a result." They emphasized that "coming out" - publicly declaring oneself as "gay" or "transgender' - is a healthy growth experience, and that once you've finally internalized that you're "gay" (or "transgender") it's permanent but satisfying. The event was reported in the local Carlisle Mosquito newspaper.

Honestly....It would be better for children to get no schooling at all than to attend cesspools of depravity seen in this article. I **seriously** mean it. Even total illiteracy and innumeracy would be better than this.
Also...If your children are succeeding academically now, then the home habits of your family must already be very close to those families with successful homeschoolers. You, your wife, and your children are **already** doing the same things that successful homeschoolers are doing.
You are **already** homeschooling ( AKA “afterschooling”).
Before rejecting homeschooling as an option, perhaps it would be best to get **all** the information about homeschooling.

Exactly! When the focus went on these suicides, I really hoped there would be a focus on all bullying. Not just homosexual bullying.
I am not an Anti-Public school, especially if your child has special needs. IMHO special needs children do better in school.
Please understand, however that homeschooling takes less time than public school. My 13 and 10 year olds finish their 10th and 9th grade work in two to four hours. The older one teaches the younger one. I know families with two working parents that homeschool and single parent family as well. Their children thrive. School is six hours a day but life is 24/7. Nothing says that you can’t school in the evenings or weekends.
And honestly, if your child is given the amount of homework that my kids were given in PS, you are half way there anyway. If you are volunteering for PTAs and in the class, you’ve given the time anyway. Only now it’s your kids and not anyone elses.
I do believe, “Whatever works for the kid.” but if I were in a more liberal area, I would do anything to HS my kids.
this is sick, does the media channels 4,5,7 ever report how homosexuals are pushing their sick perverted agenda.
For those idiots who say they have no problem with the homosexuals because they know one and he is nice then wake the hell up will you, this is not about marriage nor is it just about Don’t ask.

My kids had a health teacher tell them the subject was off limits and irrelevent. I loved him!

I was just throwing a soft insult at that other mouse who called me names. (shrug) Naturally there are some decent, civil government schools with mostly decent, normal teachers. Every parent needs to carefully monitor their own local schools to make that determination on their own. Questioning your kids is very helpful in this regard.
My kids went to government schools which actually had a good handful of conservative teachers. I’m in a conservative area and of course most teachers come from here.
That said, if your school is remotely close to the school discussed in the subject of this thread, you’re better off living out of your car and homeschooling.

Help yourself. Feel free to expand on it as well, because the analogy holds true in many ways. You can also go into some of the inner lessons of it as well, such as:
1) They make look and sound sane and reasonable, but there are a lot of nuts pretending to be normal people. When they start ranting about whatever, think of the “public poopers.”
2) Some people even define their entire lives around their unimpressive quirk. They insist that everything that happens to them, good, or mostly bad, is because of their deviation, not for its real reasons.
3) They are “emotionally invested” in their weirdness, whatever it is, so they will ignore anything that says otherwise, no matter how sane or sensible. Debating them achieves little or nothing.
4) Deep down they think they want to be normal, but know they could never be happy with that, so they want abnormal to be redefined as normal.
It goes on and on.

It looks like I goofed a bit. But the degradation of the family continues apace. Although I cannot find the proof at hand, most American children likely do not spend their entire childhood with their biological mothers and fathers united in marriage and living in the same household as the children (and not on account of the death of father or mother or both). Let’s consider this article in Washington Post:

That’s astounding. Almost two-fifths of American children (born in 2007) have no dad from birth (or at least not a father married to mother). In a few of these cases, a married woman conceives with her husband, but the husband dies before the birth of the child. In the others, which I contend are an overwhelming majority, the woman never marries the father of her child before conception and not even before childbirth. In any case, if at least one in six of the marriages fail within 18 years after childbirth (and assuming no mortality), then most children born today will spend some of their childhood without mother and father united in marriage.
Now let us examine the latest Census estimates:

Which means that the other 38% of American children don’t live with a married couple (or live with grandparents or foster parents). Some live with a single woman, some with a single man, a very few in “group quarters.” [The Census Bureau apparently doesn’t catalog children living without any parent elsewhere than group quarters.] The term “own children” applies only to the householder and includes adopted children, biological children, and step children. I haven’t found whether (or where) the Census reports the number of children who live with both biological parents, married to one another and to no one else, in family households.
Some Americans unfortunately engage in “serial polygamy,” marrying and divorcing several times.
