A Chicago high school has decided to allow a small group of students to wear "Straight Pride" T-shirts, despite resistance from other students who say they found the clothing offensive on a week that the school was bringing attention to the bullying of gays, lesbians and transgenders.
A spokesman for St. Charles North High School says the decision was intended to be an educational moment.

The students agreed to cross out the message with a permanent marker, but when two different students came to school the next day with homemade “Straight Pride” shirts without the Bible quotation, they were asked to cover them with sweatshirts.

To be gay, by choice of course, is against Christianity. They’ve already made their choice about that,so why the “hurt feelings” crap?

St. Charles is not in Chicago. It is in Kane County, at least twenty miles from Chicago.

Nothing at all unless they were congratulated for being 'understanding' or maybe even 'brave'. Sickening that we are coersed to send our children to these institutions.
If shirts that say “Gay Pride” are allowed then shirts that say “Straight Pride” should also be allowed.
I was measuring from O’Hare Airport, the closest point.

I was fortunate enough to be able to send my son to a private Christian school. He is now a staunch conservative with very strong biblical beliefs.
