Amazing Interview: Air Force General says "Sub Launched Missile, 100% Certain"
Fox News Interview with Air Force General Tom McInerney | November 14th 2010 | Fox News Hannity Interview

Posted on 11/13/2010 2:55:59 PM PST by DontTreadOnMe2009

Hannity was surprised to hear a famous ex Air Force General tell him “That Is A Missile, Shot From A Submarine!” I quote retired Air Force Lieutenant General Tom McInerney (ex commander of 11th Air Force in Alaska) “I spent 35 years flying fighters, and you can see the guidance system kick in, I have watched that film 10 times, I am absolutely certain that that is not an aircraft, but a sub launch ICBM missile!!!” See the video and judge his words for yourself. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LivRJOWrcpA&feature=player_embedded#! They did an admirable job of covering up that shoot down. TWA Flt 800, it brings back memories of the bogus fuel tank explosion.

“Pretty good argument here that it was a plane:

http://blog.bahneman.com/content/it-was-us-airways-flight-808";

Beyond obvious it was.

But that isn’t what it’s about now.

( whoever “their” is) aim isn’t very good, if they were trying to hit something.

"Shots across the bow" aren't meant to hit anything.

But they have pictures! All Janes and the retired General have is one picture ~ and they didn't actually stop to think about how wide the blast-off field was if it looks 2 degrees in width at up to 62 miles away (the distance of the horizon at 2500 feet).

That would be the biggest missile launch in all of human history ~ kind of like tying a dozen Saturn Vs together.

When you look up at something maybe 37,000 feet away (6 miles) you are looking through 1/20, at most, the amount of air you are looking through to see the "base" of the contrail. See how it spreads out to the horizon? It's being magnified just like a Full Moon rising on the horizon. It narrows the closer it gets to you as the magnification is reduced.

They say that the closer to the beginning of time we look, the larger the stars appear ~ and that was recently reported to definitely be true. It has to do with the way light is dealt with as it passes through matter and spreads out. Magnifying glasses, eyeblasses, lense appliances inserted after cataract surgery, etc. all work according to the same optical principles.

This stuff happens on large scales and small.

Stick with the truth and don’t worry about what others think. I am now going to have to change my mind. I originally thought it was San Fran Nan’s broom going through test flights. No big jet to fly around in don’t ya know. Now I think Chi-coms sending the Big O a message about QE2. He couldn’t care less if a 100 million of us die. So...that won’t work out for them.

To make a bit more substantial critique of the General's opinion:

“I spent 35 years flying fighters, and you can see the guidance system kick in...
The first assertion is meaningless unless he spent those 35 years flying fighters while observing ballistic missile launches.

And the guidance system in those suckers is running in the launching tube or silo. It doesn't 'kick in'. I suspect he's thinking about the old SA-2 system we flew against in Vietnam, which followed a pre-programed launch trajectory until the booster dropped off, exposing the guidance antennas.

This is *exactly* the sort of idiocy enemies of America are taking notes on. How easy is it to fool the gullible Americans? How easily do they drop into fear? Just put a general in front of them, and make him say something stupid, and they will believe it.

Colin Powell says Obama will be the best President. This Lt. General says it's a SLBM.

It's like we've devolved into the Soviet Union or PRC.

It's aircraft contrails, people.

I didn’t see in the video where the missile emerges from the briney deep and lights up, but the rest of the trip certainly looked like a missile.

Contrail shadow photo; The tight contrail shadow indicates the airplane is moving towards the photographer and that contrail is basically parallel with the earth's surface and in line with the setting sun. The other problem with the missle explaination is it's moving way to slow to be a missle. In the length of the video a missle would have reached orbital velocity and be close to impacting the target. In stark contrast this object (airplane) hangs in the sky.

The General then replies:

"If you go to any fighter squadron, Navy or Air Force, in the world today, they are going to agree with me..."

Bump. My dad said the same thing in talking to some of his fellow older fighters.

If you go to youtube and look at the Trident,Poseidon, and Polaris launch films, you see very bright, long, prominent tail of flame out the back. We don’t see that in this video. And the trajectory is too shallow in this video for an SLBM.

Do you personally know something about the mental state of this man? If not it is just dispicable for you to smear him like that. For the sake of making a stupid joke on a chat site.

O RLY?

This photo seems to show a moon shadow much like the ones that were seen on Space Shuttle launches. I also heard a report on some other website (sorry, can't remember which one) about a local who saw a "beam" originating from the moon at the time in question. This is the same thing that other people described when seeing that Space Shuttle moon shadow. I used Stellarium to wind back the clock to see where the moon was in the at the time of the alleged missile launch.

The moon seems to have been in the correct position to get the moon shadow as posted in your photo (keep in mind that these KCBS shots are extreme zooms, so the FOV won't be the same as my Stellarium screenshot). If that is a moon shadow as I suspect, doesn't that support a ground launch? There are a lot of self-professed contrail experts here. Can you point me to a moon shadow from a high-altitude contrail?

I didn’t see any bows in the photo.
Actually, if it was a “shot across the bow,” don’t you think it would have been done more dramatic, and unmistakable?

The Dhimmicrat adminstrations seems to have more than there fair share of these aberations.....Flight 800 was a missle and OKC/Murrah had a middle eastern connection but everyone was shut up and nothing was ever done about it....and the public are treated like children.
